(I'm very sorry this is late I haven't had any good ideas for fics.)

y/n's POV:
The Coyotes have not been doing good this season and Kells is not happy about it. He just came back from another loss and I could see in his face he was not happy. When he comes back home from games he usually comes up to me and hugs me but this times he just walked into the bedroom without saying a word. I decide to give him a couple minutes to settle down before going in and talking to him. When I do go into the bedroom I can see he's crying. I walk up to him and put his head in my chest I just let him cry. He always told me he felt pressured and doesn't want to let the team down, I've always told him the pressure doesn't have to be on him but he doesn't listen and continues to put the pressure on him to be the best. I knew he just needed a minute to calm down. The second I put my hands around him he immediately put his hands around my waist.
" I feel like such a failure" he sobbed into my chest.
"Baby it's ok" I do my best to comfort him but I know nothing will help.
He doesn't say anything else and just continues to cry. After a couple minutes he pulls away and just looks at me.
"Since our coach has gotten rid of everyone and got us new kids i've felt like I need to put the team on my shoulders, so the young guys can see that no matter how young they are. They can be good" he confessed.
"Baby these kids will learn that they can do that they just need a little pushing which shouldn't just be on you. You are a great hockey player and an amazing person. How about instead of trying too hard during games you train with them and teach them your tricks. They will learn eventually, you have to understand that doing this affects you more than them. They are only seeing a young player stressed about the games. You need to show them that when you are laid back and going with the game they have a better chance of scoring and winning the game" I tell him. I know I don't play hockey so I don't understand how the game really works but it's the best advice I could give him. I gave him the speech I give the kids that I teach to play volleyball.
"I know but its so stressful without having OEL around." He said putting his head back in my chest.
"I think you need to spend the rest of the night chilling not thinking of the game or a plan for tomorrows practice. You can think of that tomorrow." I tell him.
When he doesn't respond I pull his head out of my chest grabbing his face and kiss his nose, forehead, corner of both sides of his lips, then I then kiss his lips. We pull back and he smiles.
"Ok" he says and nods. I smile and push away from him, grabbing him some water and some PJ's. I made sure he was comfortable and went to take a quick shower.
When I finished my shower I went back out and saw him watching his favorite movie. I smile and put some clothes on before getting into bed with him and put my head on his chest.
"You know you are truly the best girlfriend ever. I appreciate you giving me advice and making me feel better all the time" he said, kissing my forehead.
"You're welcome, I love you babe" I cuddle more into his side.
"I love you too"
Next day after practice
I saw Clayton walk in from practice with a smile on his face, I was hopeful that he listened to my advice. I leave my spot at the kitchen counter and walk over to him wrapping my arms around his neck.
"How'd it go?" I question.
"Amazing, I listened and taught them some of the things I do. It worked because after a couple minutes they started learning and by the end of practice they were almost perfect" he smiled, making my stomach erupt with butterflies.
"I'm glad for you, and I'm glad you took my advice" I kiss him, he kisses back. After a couple seconds I push off him, grab his left arm and drag him to a stool.
"So what do you want to eat?" I ask looking through the fridge.
"Anything's fine.I'm gonna go take a quick shower, I'll be back"
Just as I finished making his plate of rice and chicken he walks down stairs in sweats and no shirt. I give him his plate and walk to the living room to watch a movie with him. We spent the rest of the day watching movies.
