I thought about it and thought it would be best to talk to him.

"Come in" he said sadly.
I walked in and saw him laying on the bed looking up at the ceiling.
"I know you feel like a failure but it's not your fault okay. You all play a part in this okay" I said trying to give him hope.
"I know but I'm the goal tender and when I fail to make a save I feel as though I have disappointed the team" he said sadly.
