When a relationship between a mother and her daughter breaks down, everybody suffers.

Alora was packing her things up in her office when she heard someone walk in, she didn't need to turn to check who it was, his perfume gave it away.

"What is it?"

"Who's Micheal?" She stopped and turned around. Even Caspian surprised himself by asking that.

"And just how is that your business?"

"Just answer the damn question"

"No, Mr Vitalè, I'm not answerable to you. You can't demand answers from me concerning my private life, that is on all levels of wrong" he sighed

"Do you and Teddy know each other?"

"Who the hell is Teddy?"

"You know, the guy who gave you a thumbs up before you started your presentation?"

"Oh, the coffee guy." She looked him straight in the eyes. "If if didn't know any better, I'd say you had a crush on me and you're getting really jealous right now."

"What? That's..absurd" Alora shrugged

"Got any other explanation for going all paparazzi on me?" Caspian just rolled his eyes.

"Forget it" With that, he walked out. Alora went back to packing up and left for the grocery store.

...

Alora was filling up her cart with cereals when her buzzed, she looked down at the screen, still moving forward. It was a text from Micheal.

Weetabix, compulsory

She rolled her eyes and threw a box of that into her cart, she looked up from her phone when she hit someone. Not bothering to see who it was, she changed direction.

"Hey! You brat!" She stopped and then sighed. She should have said sorry. She turned around.

"I'm so-" her words got caught up in her throat as she saw the person, both eyes widening. They hardened immediately.

"Sweet-"

"-Don't. Don't. Now, I'm just going to turn around and go my way and you continue your shopping" Alora said looking into her mother's eyes, the ones that once held so much hate for her, where now filled with so much emotions, regret, remorse, care..

"You didn't come for my wedding" Alora tried to act surprised

"Didn't get an invite" she shrugged. They both knew she did. Aurora sighed, then smiled. Alora hated that smile, because it was genuine. If she couldn't smile a genuine one, why should this woman?

"Anyways, aren't you surprised to see me here? In Florida?"

"I don't really care what you do or where you are, not anymore. Do me a favour, and stop calling me on my birthdays. I don't need to constantly be reminded of what happened the birthday you left. Goodbye" Aurora winced at the iciness of her tone. Alora turned to leave.

"Alora! I'm sorry! Please just forgive me!" Alora stopped, her eyes tearing up.

"I'm sorry too" She continued walking. Leaving Aurora staring at her retreating form, before she changed lanes.

"I've forgiven you a long time ago sweetie, if only you'd forgive me too" Aurora said quietly to thin air.

A very familiar warmth filled her when a pair of arms came around her.

"Who doesn't want to forgive my favourite wife?" A smiled adorned her features immediately, she turned and placed a chaste kiss on his lips.

"Silly, I'm your only wife. Did you get the cheese?"
