FIVE YEARS BACK

Her flight was the next day. So she had an entire day to be quarantined in her house. Because they was no way she was leaving her house when he was somewhere in California. Hell he might be in front of her door at the moment!

She was freaking out. Why won't she? If he caught her, he was going to kill her. She didn't know what to do. She picked up her phone to turn off the location, for reason she herself did not know. But you can never be too careful.

Her hands found her way to 'phone' to delete the one number that was there. The one who risked his life for her.

Surprise claimed her features as she saw another number saved in there. Micheal. She sighed, a soft smile pulling at her lips. When did he get hold of her phone though? Probably when he carried her.

She didn't know she had called him, until she heard his voice.

"911, what's your emergency?" She froze. Then he burst into laughter.

"Sorry. That was a joke. Who are you?" She sighed. Of course he just saved his number not hers. "Oh wait don't answer that. You're the girl who has just one contact on her phone. Also the one I stopped from ruining her life. How are you doing? Let me guess, not so well. Do you need me to come take you now? Maybe then, you'd tell me your name."

"I'm not in my apartment. He..."

"Found you? Eh, ,I'm guessing Clear springs motel?"

"How did you?" He tsked.

"That's the nearest motel to your apartment. You're too predictable sweetheart. It's dangerous. I'll be there. Pack up" with that, he hung up.

She sighed, she didn't need to pack, just wait. It wasn't long before she got a call from the reception.

"Hey sis" She smiled. He did feel like an elder brother to her right now. Pure evidence that good guys still existed, she wasn't gonna hate on the entire male generation.

"Hey bro" she nudged his shoulder. He chuckled and led her to his car, helping her with her box.

"It's big bro by the way" he threw her a lazy smile. She rolled her eyes.

"Where to now?"

"My house. Beware, I have two roommates" Alora sighed. She had planned to stay away from people for a while. "One of them is very young. Like he should be about 16 or so"

"Then why's he living away from his family?"

"He didn't tell us why. But I got an 'okay' from his aunt, that should he enough"

"And you don't think maybe he could be lying?"

"Nah. She's come by a few times. She's either his aunt or a hella good actress"

"Hm. Fair enough, I mean. What have you got to lose?"

"Nothing" She gave him a blank look.
