I'm Casting Spells

past is the past.

We had just gotten to Missouri and to a hotel. We had cleaned ourselves up and he blindfolded me. I was scared but it was only a 20min drive. Before we stopped he got out then helped me out
"Please do not hate me or leave me."
"Matthew shut the fuck up. I won't damn leave you"
I heard laughing. I knew that laugh, I ripped the blindfold off and didn't think twice and just tackled him with a hug. It was him. It was Dannie. I didn't want to let go. I really didn't.

"Hey you, I was trying to find your crazy ass which let me tell you wasnt as hard as I thought. I'm glad you didn't forget me"
I let go of him and looked at Matthew who was smiling. I grabbed his hand and looked at Dannie
"I thought you had life"
"I did" he looked at Matthew, then at me
"Oh sorry this is my boyfriend, Matthew " I smiled and Matt laughed
"I'm sure hes seen that baby"

"Yep, anyways, I still have a few of your things"
He lead us to the front door. I stopped in my tracks before entering.
"Kady you can come in you know that. "

I just stared for a second and Matthew snapped me out of it
"It's okay baby I will go with you, if I'm aloud"

"Yeah, come on in!" Dannie spoke. He was different.

"Really?" I looked at him and he nodded
"Yep, kady I don't Fuck with that bad stuff anymore. Remember my daughter? Athena?"

"Yeah, I seen her a few times after, out and about"

"Well. She's almost a teen now "

"I know" I teared up. "I can't believe it, have you seen her?"

"Yeah. Actually. Her mother isn't around. Her mother dropped her off here right after I went in and my sister lacy raised her. She's living here now. Lacy got the house ready for me to come home since I got bailed out. Which was alot to do" he just looked between me and Matthew. And I smiled

"Is she here?" That's when the front door opened

"Hey dad" I looked at her and smiled, Matthew smiled at me too, and then I was talked in a hug

"Oh my god dad found you, I-i thank you dad so much!"

I was confused.
"Your mom. Not the one that birthed me but your my mom. And I don't care what people say. You helped fight for me. You fought for dad single handed. I watched you help him so many times. "
I smiled
"I couldn't forget you both. I never gave up. Just didn't know how to get ahold of either of you."
"Lacy got rid of your dress because I wanted It."
I looked at Danny and he teared up
"I-i found out after I got home " I looked at Matthew and he kissed my head
"It's okay.".
"Kady it isn't okay" Danny spoke
"Stop. It is okay. And let me tell you why. Because the other day we walked into a store and brought it home with us. That's how we are here. and I told him everything Danny. I left out Athena because I was sure you didn't want everyone to know"

"Really? You remembered leaving he out of it for me?"

"Not so much for you but for her safety. Don't get em wrong I did do it for you as well but I didn't want anyone trying to harm her. She can't fight like you could."

Matthew looked at me and then looked around. I hugged him and smiled

"Plus, I have my own kid now so I get it."

Danny froze
"Wait a damn second. You two have a kid and that wasn't the first thing you told me?!"

"We don't. I do. Well I guess technically we do but" I froze looking at Matt

"Yes. We have a little boy" he reassured me and smile

"He's from someone else. I got bad into shit Danny and couldn't get out is all I got to say." I smiled slightly and still couldn't believe that this was happening.
