A punch was heard showing Carol landing on her back panting and sweating.
Kratus: You're off balance.
Carol: No, just tired.
Kratus: Was yesterday too exhausting?
Carol: No... not at all.
Carol gets up and shakes off as she runs towards Kratus dodging a few swings from her as she goes for a kick but he blocks it but not just that but reflects it making her almost lose balance and later tackles her to the ground.
Kratus: Again?
Carol laughing throws him the middle finger as he looks in shock smiling.
Kratus: Now that's not a way to treat your significant other.
Carol's fists are energized as she runs and again swings, Kratus blocks a few punches as she goes for an areal knee which Kratus ducks and later when she lands he grabs her workout bra and pulls her headbutting her later picking her over his head and throwing her away but she lands on a wall and flies towards Kratus but he grabs her wrist and her body throwing her to a wall as she crashes into it and lands in the ground.
Kratus: Using your own momentum against you.
Carol slowly gets up as Kratus kneels in front of her as she looked disappointed.
Kratus: Don't get angry, I'm older than Jesus himself, you did better than most.
Carol: Still not a win for me.
Kratus: For me it is.
Kratus boops her nose as she laughs a bit but Kratus just picks her up as she almost jumps.
Carol: K-Kratus!
Kratus: *smiling* Don't fight it... just don't.
Carol laughs as she puts her hands around his neck.
Carol: All right, you are my Eternal in shiny cosmic armor.
Kratus: That was cringey.
Carol: Do you care?
Kratus: Absolutely not.
Carol pecks Kratus' lips with him walking away still carrying her. Scene changes to Carol in the shower while Kratus was in the bed looking at a photo that showed Kratus, Steve, Bucky, Peggy, Howard Stark and others, it has been almost 70 years since Steve was dead, and it still hurts. Carol walked out of the bathroom with wet hair and a towel.
Carol: So we have an alert on Earth, thought you would-
She saw Kratus' photo and quickly realized what was happening.
Carol: Kratus... it has been almost 70 years, let go.
Kratus: I want to, but I can't. Does it hurt that you can't visit Monica? Maria? Fury?
Carol: It... It does.
Kratus: But you can still see them, why can't you?
Carol: You know-
Kratus: You've told me cause you're busy, cause you're protecting... but that's just half of it... why?
Carol: Maybe cause... they've moved on... we haven't been on Earth for almost 20 years, Maria is probably retired, Monica is a grown badass woman, and me... I haven't changed... so if they've just moved on... so should I... you have to move on Steve's death.
Kratus: Is not that... is the fact I could've done something to prevent it, that's the pain, the pain of failure.
