Scene moves to Kratus, Steve and Tony seated by the table with Fury leaning towards it and Agent Hill also by them.
Fury: These were in Phil Coulson's jacket. Guess he never did get you to sign them. *throws some Captain America cards but in blood. Steve picks one of them as Kratus picks another* We're dead in the air up here. Our communications, location of the cube, Banner, Thor... and now Danvers. I got nothing for you. Lost my one good eye. Maybe I had that coming. Yes, we were going to build an arsenal with the Tesseract. I never put all my chips on that number though, because I was playing something even riskier. There was an idea, Stark knows this, called THE AVENGERS INITIATIVE. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could. Phil Coulson died still believing in that idea, in heroes.
Tony stands up, he was angry... pissed, he walks away not wanting to hear Fury's speech.
Fury: Well, it's an old fashioned notion.
Steve looks down also walking away with Fury looking at Kratus.
Fury: I'm sorry.
Kratus: For what part? The arsenal? The Avengers? Or the fact you tried to use the cube behind my back? *there was a silence with Kratus looking at the table* I gave you the cube because out of anyone in this planet, I didn't trust anyone more than you... than Phil, maybe the only one you can trust is yourself, and not even that prevented humans using The Tesserract. You brought us to this mess, I hope you can fix it.
Fury looks at Kratus and walks away, leaving basically Hill and Kratus. Kratus grabbed the chair and started to literally crush it until Hill walked towards him.
Kratus: Let me guess, this is the part where you convince me to forgive Fury.
Hill: No... not really.
Kratus: Good. Now answer me with honesty, did you know?
Hill: About the weapons? No.
Kratus: Hill... did you know?
Hill: I didn't-
Kratus: *standing up with glowing eyes* DON'T LIE TO ME!!! DID... YOU... KNOW?!!!
Hill: *takes a second to talk* Yes.
Kratus takes a step back as he shows a shivering smile as he nods.
Kratus: I actually thought SHIELD was created to make a better place.
Kratus starts to walk away as Hill stands up and grabs his wrist.
Hill: Ken-
Kratus breaks the grip and pushes Hill back and glares at her.
Kratus: I thought I could trust on people like you, like Fury. I was wrong.
Kratus grabs something from his pockets and throws it to the table, his SHIELD card.
Kratus: And is Kratus.
Kratus walked out of the Helicarrier and flew away. Scene moves Tony in where Coulson was killed, as Steve walks towards the same room.
Steve: Was he married?
Tony: No. There was a uh...cellist, I think.
Steve: I'm sorry. He seemed like a good man.
Tony: *scoffs* He was an idiot.
Steve: Why? For believing?
Tony: For taking on Loki alone.
