[A/n: This is the final part for this story. I will not be writing more for this.]
"Miss Elaine, it's nice to see you again."
"Yes, it is a pleasure to see you again as well. Are you still doing your research in the library?"
"Yes, it seems we will have to go through the entire library."
"Ah, I see. If you ever need me then you know how to find me."
Elaine nodded at Taylor before continuing with her lunch. She didn't see Cage with him but didn't bother to ask about her.
"Ah, if any of the servants bother you or your friend then do report it to either Bob or Melissa. They'll take care of it. However, do remember that I'm always available."
The two continued with their lunch after that and Elaine went back to work.
'I've taken care of the punishments and the budget for this year. I doubt I'd get invited to any events as I'm basically a noble only in title now. I don't have any backing or a business running. I don't even have my family's territory.
I'm as free as a bird.'
Elaine's smile widened as she thought of how she only had to take care of her mansion's budget and earn money through the elemental's information. She happily got back to work.
Time slowly passed by as Elaine waited when it would finally be time to meet her new clients.
She slowly put on her disguise and climbed out the window. She had already activated her ancient power and the elementals were informing her if anybody was nearby and scouting the area.
'I've been lucky so far.'
Elaine quickly escaped the mansion and calmly stepped in the market. She observed her surroundings before carefully stepping in a dark alleyway.
"Name?"
"I thought you did your research before you made a deal?"
"Yes but how could I find something about an elf who has just recently stepped out into the world?"
Elaine smiled wickedly at Cosmin who gulped and shivered a bit. Although he was a fully grown adult, one could say he had never seen the dark side of the world. He had been captured when he was 16 and sold to a weird woman who always took most of his blood and sold it off to someone.
Although, he wasn't exactly innocent but he still had a lot to learn.
"... Cosm-"
"Don't do that. Always be on guard around people you don't know. Didn't you know about stranger danger? Don't let them think you're weak, unless you know for sure that you won't die. Second of all, I'm an information dealer right now. If I get the right amount of money then I could easily reveal your identity to someone."
"Huh...?"
Cosmin was quite dumbfounded at the lessons just given to him.
"You don't recognize me through my voice? Are you an idiot?"
"W-wait...! M-miss-"
"Don't say my name. Remember we're both in disguise."
Cosmin slowly nodded as he tried to calm down from the many shocking events that just happened. Elaine motioned for him to sit down and he followed.
"We'll talk about this at the estate. For now, sit down for a while and pretend we're having a conversation. People here are very keen and sly individuals, it's better for us to to pretend to be one of them if we want to be safe."
