[A/n: ANOTHER INCOMPLETED STORY!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!!!

Edit: I'm working on a full story for this now.]

Someone was standing on top of an abandoned old building.

Black hair, brown eyes and medium sized figure. There was nothing special about this woman. She wasn't depressed, there were moments she was happy and moments where she was sad.

Even her life was nothing special. Sure, it could've been better. But it wasn't.

'What's the point of whining about it now?'

She closed her eyes as she felt the winter breeze pass her by.

She didn't come here to commit suicide. She came here because she felt she was at her breaking point. She couldn't bring herself to cry in front of them.

'Pity isn't something I need nor want.'

A regular day. That was how it went after she came back. Nothing special.

"So then how did I wake up like this?"

She had woken up as a part of the cat tribe from Trash of The Count's Family the moment she woke up.

'Let's try to stay calm here. I slept on my own bed but woke as this cat. If this really is TOCF then the fact that I've been either reincarnated or transmigrated here means that the God of Death did something.

I've read up to the 1st part of the novel so I know for sure that reincarnation, transmigration, single lifers and what not can't be cut off as mere coincidences here.

It might be that my situation was like Kim Rok Soo's as well. If I remember correctly then... There are exceptions and variables to basically the 'laws' of nature. Exceptions being immortals, which might or might not be around, and single lifers, like Choi Han. Variables being reincarnation and transmigration. And then there's another 'category'.

The Regressors. The original Cale Henituse was an example of a Regressor.

This is all that I know that might be a clue to my reincarnation.

Now then, I should probably try to remember all of the storyline for TOCF right now. After that I can find out which timeline I'm in. Although being a part of the Fog Cat tribe isn't the best with Cale having a lot of them being slaughtered, I can still escape. I doubt that I won't be getting involved with Cale and the like but I can keep my distance.

Especially from the White Star.'

She slowly got up and tried to find balance in her new body.

'Wait... Am I even a female right now...? Even if as a cat I don't want to be a male!'

A look of horror passed her face as she slowly gulped before doing the unspeakable.

[A/n: I know you all know what it is. Don't you play dumb with me!]

Sighing in relief when she realized she was still a female, she quickly moved out of the small hut sized house. It was a really simple and basic place. Most of the houses were like hers but there were worst and grand houses as well.

Her house had a small place for a make shift kitchen, a small cupboard which used to store almost all of her necessities and a bed.

'Wait, should I change into my human form before I go?'

Deciding on first checking out the place in her cat form, she quietly moved her paws to what she presumed a normal beast tribe looked like.

'There are cats everywhere.'

She sighed at the hairs moving around the wind from the many cats and looked around the place.

There were a couple of shops, trading centers [which were the most common] and a couple of humans here and there. She was quite sure that a lot of them were black mages as even she could feel the dead mana radiating from there bodies.

'They aren't even hiding it.'

Shrugging it off for now, she noticed how two to three people were looking at her in pity. She focused on her ears to try and listen in on their conversation.

"Poor... Her parents... died."-???

"What... name?"-???

"Tyche."-???

[A/n: Pronounced as Tai-ki. Credits to @Lucathy4life for giving me this name. I was gonna use it for myself but I couldn't...]

'Is that my name? Tyche? Well, it isn't bad. I wonder if whoever named me knew Greek or something... The goddess of fortune... Well I suppose I am as great as a god.'

Tyche felt her happiness explode after learning her name as she continued to look around the place. She didn't find anything special but she did hear about the 'mutants' and the 'disgraces' of the cat tribe.

'So the main story hasn't started yet. I could escape this horrid place if I go with those two siblings. Yes, that should do.

When Cale adopts them, then I can go on my own merry way. Until then we can stick together and take care of each other. Yes yes, that would do. The main character would take his party members and leave me alone.'

Tyche nodded her head and hid in the shadows. The Cat Tribe's natural instinct was a lot better the older you got. It was quite advantageous for a 15 year old cat like her who had almost no experience in this stuff.

'These guys don't suspect me at all so I should be able to leave from here with the children quietly if I'm careful.'

She bit the inside of her mouth from her nervousness at just visiting the pair of siblings. She knew just how much this could go wrong for her yet she couldn't bare to see children suffer like that. No matter how evil she was, there were some things that she just couldn't ignore.

"Ah..."

Her eyes were widened in shock.

'He can... take care of them...'

That's what she tried to convince herself with as she saw the siblings feeble bodies wrapped together to prevent themselves from getting cold.

Taking in a deep breath, she slowly made her way towards them. The two didn't seem to have noticed her at all. She sat just behind them, her tail wrapping up Hong close to her while her face and front paws were keeping On close to her. The siblings were very surprised at first but slowly relaxed their shaking bodies in the warm hug.

It had been a very long time since they felt this type of protectiveness.

"Already asleep?"-Tyche

She slowly got up and covered the two with some large leaves from the nearby plants to help them with the cold. She quickly moved towards her house after washing off in the nearby river.

It had slight magic properties which allowed all almost smells to leave your body. For the cat tribe who specialized in assassination and silent killing it was like a gift from god. It was also a very beneficial river for people like Tyche who had met with people the tribe looked down upon.

'I'll need some food, a couple of bandages and the blanket I have.'

She didn't know if she would be able to carry it all back to them without being caught but she could certainly try.

"Was someone there just now?"-???

"It smelled like that one kid at the corner of the mountain."-???

"You mean Tychai or whatever her name was?"-???

'Almost got caught.'

Tyche held her breath as she waited for the two male cats to leave. They looked quite cute and if she didn't know better she might have pet them.

'I can't ever let their appearances fool me.'
