~Ian's POV~
*Earlier (From Chapter 12)*
I sat in my room messing around on my phone until I heard a scream coming from the hall.
I threw my phone down and sprinted out my room and down the hall to the room. I heard the others coming to investigate as I skidded to a stop at the door. Someone grabbed the handle, but I didn't pay attention to who it was. They entered and I followed after them.
Inside the room I saw Skybrine holding up Mitch by his shirt. Skybrine looked over his shoulder at us and grinned. "Oh, you're just in time."
Jerome and Ty ran at Skybrine, who disappeared leaving gold dust in the air.
"Dammit!" Ty cursed.
"Did you guys...-?" Quentin didn't finish his sentence, but he looked at Ty and Jerome, who was staring at the floor with a blank expression.
Ty nodded. "The spell wore off."
For some reason, I looked over at Jason, who's eyes were wide.
"What? Did you see a ghost, dood?" I joked, even though this was not the time for jokes.
Jason turned to me and glared. "No."
"What did you see?" Quentin asked.
Jason either didn't hear Quentin or ignored him. He shook his head quickly, mumbled something about 'leaving' and needing to be 'alone' and walked out. Quentin and I glanced at each other, confused what that was all about. Ty shrugged in response.
Jerome finally looked up. "Mitch is gone. He's gone. He's really gone." He repeated quietly.
"It's okay, dood. We'll get him back." I said, hoping to comfort him.
"No, we won't. Herobrine's going to make him just like Adam!" Jerome argued. "We're all probably going to be like that soon!"
"Don't think like that, Jerome." Ty said sternly. "We can only hope for the best." He said positively.
"When did you become Mr. Hope?!" I joked. (A/N: GET IT?)
Ty shrugged. "I don't know."
"I'm going to go check on Jason." Jerome volunteered, walking away.
"I will too." Ty said, following Jerome.
"I didn't realize this until now, but there's only five of us left." Quentin pointed out. "Five if Jason is okay."
I nodded grimly. "Yeah."
"Do you think we should go check on Jason with Jerome and Ty?" I asked.
"Sure. I'll be there in a second."
I nodded and walked off to Jason's room. From down the hall, I could see Jason's door open. I heard Jason, Ty, and Jerome's voices and stopped walking to listen.
"Jason, just calm down. It's okay. Just tell us what you saw." I heard Ty say.
"You don't understand!" Jason yelled. I heard mumbling, but I wasn't close enough to hear.
"What?!" Jerome asked loudly. "What the hell are you talking about?!"
"Just go away!" Jason screamed back. "Leave me alone!"
"Okay, okay! I'm leaving!" Ty said, backing out of the room. He turned and saw me, mouthing the word 'crazy', pointing at Jason's room.
"I'm not going to leave until you tell me what's going on." Jerome replied stubbornly.
"Jerome. Leave... Now." Jason demanded. His voice was low and sent chills down my spine.
"I will not-"
"GET OUT NOW!" Jason shouted. "I can't-" He was cut off by his own scream. The scream was suddenly cut off like someone had slapped their hand over his mouth. Jerome came running out the room with wide eyes.
"What, Jerome?" I asked.
"He's..." He paused. "He's gone. He just disappeared with a poof of smoke."
"What- How?!" I heard Quentin asked from behind me.
"I don't know. But before he disappeared, something was behind him..."
"What? Did you see what it was?" I asked impatiently.
"I think... I think it was the Wither."
(A/N: Sorry for not updating in a while! I was on a road trip for the weekend, and then I got alot of homework... so yeah. xD)
