Chapter 5

(A/N: Same as last chapter, I can't get on my computer right now. I'll edit this in the morning. I just really wanted to put this chapter up since I haven't updated in a week. :D)

~Dawn's POV~

I stared in shock at my best friend.

"I can't believe YOU DID THIS AGAIN!" I screamed at my father. "WHY CAN'T I JUST HAVE ONE FRIEND?! ONE FRIEND. THAT'S ALL I WANT. ONE. SINGLE. FRIEND!"

"You can have a friend, just not one on the good side." He said, like it was as simple as that.

"Why don't I just not have any friends at all?! Why not be lonely?!" I said sarcastically, throwing my hands up in frustration.

"You know, why don't I just run away like Jordan did?" I threatened. As soon as I said that, I saw my father's face flash a worried look.

"Jordan didn't run away," He lied. "I banished him."

"I know you didn't banish him. If you did, we wouldn't be saying his name right now." I said, putting my hands on my hips. (A/N: In this story, if someone is banished, it's forbidden to say their name.)

"Don't sass your father, Dawn." Alex scolded, making me explode with anger.

"Oh, you turned her into a b*tch, too?! How thoughtful!" I yelled sarcastically. "Oh wait, I'm sorry, I forgot. SHE WAS ALREADY A B*TCH! LITERALLY!" I screamed, insulting my 'friend'.

As soon as I said that, I instantly regretted it.

"I-I.." She stuttered as a tear rolled down her cheek. She covered her face with her hands and ran away, sobbing.

I had two thoughts after that:

1. I didn't know she was emotional... She didn't seem emotional when I met her...

2. At least I brought some part of her back.

~Mitch's POV~

I sat on my bed, thinking of ways I could hide my eyes and still be able to be around my friends.

"Eye patch? No, that only works for one eye... And it would be obvious I was trying to hide something." I muttered, noticing that my right leg was bouncing up in down, like always it does when I'm thinking or concentrating.

"I could use sunglasses... No. Too obvious. Why would you wear sunglasses indoors?"

Then a lightbulb went off in my head.

"Contact-lenses!" I whispered to myself victoriously.

"But how am I going to get contacts?!" I muttered, thinking of ways I could get them without anyone seeing me.

'Sneak out.'

"How?!" I thought. "I'm pretty sure they'll notice me."

'No they won't. They are too busy talking. Just sneak out the bathroom window.'

"Then how do I buy the contacts without any of the cashiers seeing my eyes?"

'Just don't look up!'

"Okay, that was a pretty stupid question." I admitted.

'Yeah it was.'

"How much do you think they are?" I asked, reaching for my wallet.
