~Jerome's POV~

The next morning, the four of us decided to come up with new plans if, for example, Herobrine took you and tried to "corrupt" you.

"I can't believe there's only four of us left." Ian said, resting his elbows on the table.

"Ty's next." Quentin blurted, earning confused and shocked looks from the rest of us.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"I don't! I-I'm just guessing!" He stuttered, throwing his hands up in defense.

I leaned over to Ian. "He couldn't have made it any more obvious that he knows something." I whispered. Ian nodded in response.

"Well, that gets a lot of weight off my shoulders." Ty said sarcastically.

"No kidding." I muttered. "I wonder when he's going to get you. I mean, IF your next."

"I WAS going to get you now, but there was a change of plans." A familiar voice said. I recognized the voice was Skybrine and I turned my chair around to face him.

I sighed. "Who are you going to take now?"

"Getting straight to the point, huh?" Skybrine raised an eyebrow. "I'm actually not here to take any of you. I need to ask you a question."

"Fine. What?"

Suddenly, Skybrine's eyes started glowing brighter and would've blinded me if I hadn't looked away. "Where. Is. He?" Skybrine growled. He must have teleported, because he sounded closer than before.

"Who?!" Ian asked.

"You know who!" Skybrine yelled back.

"No, I don't!"

"Mitch, you idiot! Where is he?!"

"I don't know, we thought you had him!" I yelled back, turning back around, hoping he wasn't going to make me go blind. I mean, that would suck being 2 types of blind. Colorblind, and blind blind.

"I'm giving you three days to find the fire boy or-"

Fire boy?

"Or what?" Quentin interrupted. "Are you going to turn me evil? Turn me into His servant? You're going to turn me evil eventually."

Skybrine's face turned red from anger and embarrassment that Quentin had figured him out. "I could kill you now!" He threatened, raising a shaky finger at Quentin.

"No, you would kill me now, but you can't because your "master" only told you to get Mitch."

How in the world does he know this?

"You're missing the point, fish. You need to get back the fire boy or Master will be angry with not only me, but you too."

There he goes again with that "fire boy" phrase.

"Fine." Ian muttered.

Skybrine gave him a phony smile. "Thank you." He said before disappearing leaving gold dust in the air.

"Well, I guess we have to go on a scavenger hunt for Mitch." Ty muttered. "I wonder what he's done to Mitch..." Ty headed for the door and we followed him.

I don't even want to think about what he did to him. Probably something with fire, but I don't want to know.

A horrible thought came to me and I stopped walking, causing Ian to bump into me.

"Wait, wait. I just thought of something." I said. Everyone turned to me, waiting for me to continue. "You know how Skybrine kept calling Mitch 'fire boy', right?"

They nodded slowly.

"And you remember the guy who set the bushes on fire a few weeks ago?"

Their eyes went wide with realization and shock.

"That had to be Mitch." Ian said quietly.

"That could've been why Jason was shocked." Ty guessed. "Anyways, we should get going." Ty said, holding the door for the rest of us.

"Are we just going to hope he's waiting for us on the side of the rode or what?" I asked. "I doubt we will find him."

"I have a friend." Quentin said, who was now leading us down the sidewalk. "At least I think I have a friend."

"O-kay." I muttered.

Suddenly, Quentin stopped walking, causing me to bump into him, Ian to bump into me, and Ty to bump into Ian.

"Really?!" Ian exclaimed. "This is the second time! Hey! St-"

"Look." Quentin whispered. Ty and I moved to that Ty was in the middle, I was to his left and Quentin was to his right.

There was a tall boy who looked like he was in his late teens, and a shorter girl, probably the same age, facing each other. The boy had light brown hair and bright green eyes that looked almost unreal. His glasses somehow made him look normal. The girl, on the other hand looked perfectly normal: Brown hair, pale blue eyes, glasses.

"Then there's me wha-" The boy started, but couldn't finish. The girl reached up and kissed him. The boy's eyes widened and his face turned red.

The girl probably saw us out of the corner of her eye, because she pulled away from him and looked at us.

"Who are you?" Ty asked.

"I'm Rachel." The girl said.

"I'm..." The boy paused. "Mason."

Rachel turned to the boy and coughed "Matthew".

"I-I mean Matthew!" The boy said as his face turned red from embarrassment.

"Did you forget your name?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Um, well... yes. I-"

"He just woke up from a coma and he lost his memory." The girl, Rachel, explained for him. "I've been having to remind him of things, like his name and stuff."

I instantly felt bad.

"Oh, sorry." I apologized.

"It's fine." Matthew said, smiling at me. "What's your guys' names?"

"I'm Ty."

"I'm Jerome."

"Quentin..." Quentin said almost as if he were asking a question.

"Well, nice to meet you. Maybe we'll see you around. Bye!" Rachel smiled and waved, walking in the opposite direction.

Then I noticed something was wrong.

I looked around, earning confused looks from Ty and Quentin.

"What are you doing?"

I didn't even have to answer Ty because I found the all the evidence I needed to back up my suspicions.

I found a familar-looking watch lying on the ground where somebody should've been.

"Ian's watch." I said, pointing at the watch. "And he's gone."
