A new begining

  Immediately all heads turn towards you the older kids all gasp except Enoch and a little girl who you don't know and some boy who you assume is, Jake is confused but Bronwyn remembers you and smiles you wonder where Victor is though,
" Y/n where have you been, you're an adult how?" Asks Olive you smile and nod and reply with " Rember my peculiarity I'm immortal I don't age past 29 and I've been up in England." Enoch scoffs at that he's never really liked the English and then a little girl with a pink dress and beautiful curls pipes up and asks
"Who are you? I'm Claire." You smile down and reply that I'm y/n and that it is lovely to meet them Emma then asks what you have been up too and you realise you should probably explain and you do.

Once you've explained you feel Miss peregrine hug your shoulders and your breath catches in your throat for a second Bronwyn then asks why you left "Shit" you think and you quickly say "I was curious about the outside world I'm sorry that I left so suddenly." The others go outside to do chores and you follow miss Peregrine into the kitchen. "Miss Peregrine what can I do to help?" You ask she smiles at you and explains how to help "Also please call me Alma now we're colleagues." you nod quickly and you two go on and make dinner and do all the rest of the nightly chores and eventually you and miss Peregrine are sat in her office talking you pick up the courage to ask where Victor is. "A hollow got to Victor after you left." She replies shortly.

Later on in the evening when you had found your room you replay all the moments with Alma those familiar confused feelings bubbling up to the surface once again, you sigh slightly annoyed with yourself as you had hoped that the feelings would just go away since you don't want to date Alma you just want to be under her but it is all very confusing for you since Sex comes with love and without love, sex is pointless as told by your older sibling. You turn off your light and turn to go to sleep, around 5 a.m you hear a sharp knock on your bedroom door you get up and open it and Alma is on the other side in a silk navy blue nightgown she explains the morning duties quietly and quickly and you go get dressed to begin to help her, After breakfast, you go upstairs to prepare the classroom today they are learning about history. History was always you're favourite, when Alma calls the children up and into the classroom you sit at the back of the classroom. As Alma is explaining WW1 you smile as she looks so beautiful while explaining certain things about history.

After lunch, you hear a knock at the door so you open it and the same tall brown-haired American from yesterday is stood on the other side
"Ah, so I'm assuming your Jake then I'm y/n." Extending a hand Jake nods and shakes your hand. He walks in to speak to Miss Peregrine and you go outside to help Fiona with her chores and to check everyone is either doing what their spouse to do or being safe. Something you find can be surprisingly hard to do for the children, for instance, Enoch Accidentally scaring one of the others, Olive burning herself my mistake, Emma not having someone to tie the rope around her waist, Horce not being a Decent reffere, Millard and Hugo once again squabbling about the rule of football, the twins fighting over a teddy bear and Claire accidentally getting something caught in her hair or on her dress.

Everything is as it's supposed to be so you go off to find Alma slightly more nervous than you normally would be, "Ah Y/n how are you?" She asks smiling brightly you reply as you should and ask her. Both of you smile largely eventually she asks you "Now y/n why did you leave?" You look at her for a few seconds contemplating whether it's worth it or not "I left because certain rules were too hard to follow for me personly." She looks up at you and replies with "Millard helps with the stuff on the ground and Emma overtook the baby Squirrel." She then goes to the door and calls the children in can't help you but watch her the way her Jacket hugs her waist how her skirt is lost but form-fitting your mouth goes dry at the thought of being on your knees in front of her but you get snapped back to reality as she turns to look at you with a slight smirk you wonder if she's starting to catch on although it's unlikely as you had acted like this when you were 15.

You all sit at the table and Jake asks you,
"So y/n were had you been since no one mentioned you before?" You look up from your food and explain where you've been and then ask "Hang on your Abe Portman's grandson aren't you?" He nodded your smile remembering Abe and all the mischief you too got up to. Tonight you had Olive helping with the dishes, Olive helped dry you did the washing itself "Y/n I've been meaning to ask but do you still like miss peregrine?" She says her voice is only audible for you. You shrug your shoulders and say " I don't know Olive cause I don't know whether I like her romanticly or not I've never been in love before." Olive nods and quickly mentioned how Millard Enoch and Hugh divvied up your stuff a year after you left you to chuckle to yourself "You have my books I'm assuming" she nods and you just say that she can keep them.

You decide to go help Emma with the baby squirrel because you did always like it. You walk outside to the big tree "Hi Emma need some help?" She looks at her and then she tells you to tie the rope around her waist. Then the squirrel falls out and you catch them and smile cause this chore is something you smile down at the squirrel "Hiya Ethseter." You hand Emma the squirrel and undo her shoes to allow her to put the baby Squirrel in the tree and then Alma approaches you both once Emma is back on the ground "Y/N would you mind meeting me in the study after dinner." You nod and Emma asks what it's about you shrug your shoulders keeping a calm facade up but on the inside your panicking praying that she doesn't know how you feel towards her...
