You finish packing your bags and you're standing in the hallway you are saying your goodbyes and Alma is standing there you walk over and say "Alma, I love you and will love you for the rest of my time upon this earth." She nods attempting to hide her face "Y/n, my darling I love you too this is only for a year and then you can return." You kiss her cheek she rests her head on your shoulder for a second until you leave and you walk out not casting anyone another look as you know that you wouldn't leave.

You find your older siblings house and walk-in. You place your bags into the main room and go out to get food you prepare yourself some simple pasta. You sit in the front room and eat you're shaking a little bit as this is all very shocking.
                      One month later
Once you've gotten into the swing of everything on your own you cross off the end of the month "Just 11 more to go." You whisper to yourself and you hear a knock on the door to find Jake and the children
"Miss l/n, Barron's taken miss Peregrine and Miss Avocet has been killed we don't know what to do to help!" Jake exclaims you usher them all in quickly. You think of a plan and explain it to them "Right we will need to find a mode of transport, Emma do you mind the old boat and then we will need to work our way to Blackpool and get rid of the wights and Barron!" Everyone nods and off you all go to find the boat and fight and you help save Alma.

After The battle, you are sat in one of the boat bed chambers you have a plan of staying until you find somewhere else. Somewhere a bit more permanent and Olive knocks on the door and you allow her in, you notice how she looks angry "Olive what's wrong?" She glares at you and says "You are not going off somewhere to be alone forever! You are not!" you look at her and sigh knowing she will hate you for this. You also know you can't explain any of this as none of the children apart from Olive knew you were in love with Alma. You make up a lie along the lines of once you experience the outside world you can't leave it, Olive looks at you heartbroken but nods and walks out shutting the door behind her. You sit on your bed muffling sobs as you release the ymbryne council will use this as a reason for there to be a rule against dating. You sob for what could have been a happy life with Alma and the children but you're stuck with this life...
