The soft droplets of rain hit the concrete floor quickly, creating a peaceful sound. It was cold and even though I had a hoodie on, I felt the wind go through the fabric and give me goosebumps.

I look down to see Gon putting his hands in the sleeves of his sweater. His cheeks and nose were flushed red from the coldness.

I still felt bad for Gon. All day people have been talking behind his back and some have even straight up insulted him. I always told them to fuck off though and took mental note to beat them up later.

English class was the most uncomfortable period of the day. Like usual, the teacher always took glances at Gon that made Gon uncomfortable. At one point, a student even asked if he had a relationship with any of his students. They ended up going to the office. I saw Gon tear up during class and it made me angry at everyone and pity him at the same time. I wish there was more I could do to help him.

I can't believe Kenji would tell so many people.

"Are you cold?," I ask, my hand holding onto Gon's as we wait to be picked up from school under a roof. I rub my thumb on the palm of his softly.

He smiles up at me, and slightly shakes his head. "I'm ok," he says before his head leans on my arm. I feel myself begin to blush and become stiff for a moment.

Gon must've noticed, "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," he says sheepishly while lifting his head up. "No, it's fine," I say hurriedly and gently push his head to lay back down on my arm. He chuckles quietly and then nuzzles into my arm.

"I wish I had brought an umbrella," he mumbles. "Same, I had no idea it was gonna rain," I whisper. It feels so peaceful that it would be wrong to talk in a normal tone of voice.

I look down at Gon and notice his eyes are wandering around the drenched parking lot of our school. His brown curious eyes then meet mine and I gulp. "Are you excited for dinner?," he asks and then sniffles. "Hmm? What do you mean?"

"Killua, don't you remember?," he asks and now tilts his head up to look at me. "Nope," I shake my head. "Tonight, Aunt Mito and I, and your family, we're going out to eat." He says which flips a switch in my brain that makes me remember my mom telling me about it a few nights ago. "Oh, yeah. I remember now."

"Killua! How do you not remember this shit??"

"Alluka! Where have you been?," I feel a small weight lift off my arm which makes me groan in dissatisfaction. Alluka just had to ruin our moment, I roll my eyes.

"I was with your mo- wait shit, you don't have one," Alluka chuckles nervously and I mentally facepalm. Gon giggles genuinely, "it's alright, it's funny."

Alluka takes her phone out of her pocket and quickly glances at it. "Mom's here, let's go quick guys before it begins to pour."

"Are we there yet?"

"Shut the fuck up, Milluki."

"Watch your language mister," my mom looks at me through the rear view mirror and I gulp. "Yes ma'am," I say and look at the time on my phone.

"We're almost there kids," she says while she continues to drive. "Mom! Turn up the radio!," Alluka shouts and taps her foot impatiently. Dad ends up turning the volume up for mom. "Thanks!," Alluka exclaims and begins to loudly sing along to the horrible song playing.

"You're giving me a headache," I rub my forehead.

"Deal with it," she sticks her tongue out at me.

"Both of you are annoying," Kalluto says who has been unnecessarily quiet the entire car ride over to the restaurant.

"What's up with you?," Alluka questions him and raises her eyebrow. "...I got a B on my math test..."
