"Yeah, boy, get em'!" A random person smacked me jokingly on the arm as I walked through my headquarters that day. Gradually, everyone in the office noticed my presence and got up from their chairs to clap for me.
"What is going on?" I whispered to Dylan, who was walking next to me. He had that "Yes-thats-my-best-friend-right-here" look on his face.
"They're clapping because you took down Kerensky, idiot." He whispered back.
I was never a fan of the limelight, so I just forced a small smile and asked them all to please, sit down.
I spun around to address them politely before turning and walking into the elevator with Dylan.
"Geez, ease off the spotlight, Mr. Superstar," Dylan rolled his eyes at me sarcastically.
"You know I hate it." Was my grave reply.
"Come on, man. Loosen up a little. You really have no idea what good you've done." Dylan said.
"It's my job." I replied truthfully.
The elevator dinged and we got off on our floor.
"Want to go to the bar tonight to celebrate?" Dylan walked backwards towards the direction of his office but continued to face me.
"Not a chance," I chuckled. There was no way I was leaving my apartment tonight. All I wanted to do was go home and get a good rest, as there was a huge possibility my boss was going to sign me up for another case following this ones success.
"You're no fun." Dylan remarked before branching off and entering his office.
"Not the first time I've heard that compliment!" I called out after him as I entered my own office.

James"Aye, think fast!" I heard Toni yell. Before I could realize what was happening, a speeding ball came colliding with my abdomen.
"Dude, what's wrong with you?" I exclaimed as I doubled up in pain.
"You don't pay attention these days. What's wrong with you?" He walked closer to me and rested his hand on my back.
"Nothing," I mumbled as I limped to the bleachers.
"It's a girl!" Casillas happily butted in as he blocked a powerful shot from Bale.
"Alright lads, enough talk, more play!" Interfered Ancelotti..
"There's only eight minutes left. Can I be excused?" I asked him. The pain from the hit eased off quickly and all I wanted to do was go home and relax.
Ancelotti didn't reply, but turned around and continued to train Casillas, Toni, Ramos and Bale. The other members of the main squad were off playing for their national teams as international matches season had began.
I took his silence as a yes. He was never an expressive man.
I collected my belongings and headed to my locker. Apparently, Toni and the rest of the squad decided to follow my lead and take the next eight minutes off as well. I'm pretty sure Ancelotti hated me by now.
"And you're here why?" I asked without turning around.
"Don't be so sour, James. We only want to know her name..." Said Bale innocently in his thick Welsh accent.
"And what she looks like, where she's from, where she lives..." Ramos joked. I turned around and gave him a glare.
"I'm not telling you guys anything."
