A few months passed since I last saw Deckard, and it was hard to not have him around all the time. Magdalene was shocked about what happened and was pissed at Mr. Nobody for threatening her grandchildren and wished that Deckard would return to us safely. She decided to take a break from the family business to help me with the kids, plus she got to spend time with her granddaughters and unborn grandchild so that was a plus for her. Tessa and Liam were helping me as well, I swear that woman is a saint at times and I can't believe that.
Now I was due at any moment, Liam and Pia were in school. The girls were confused as to where Deckard was and all I told them was that he was working, Luna believed it but Pia didn't and so later I had to explain to her the situation. She didn't take it too well has been very isolated from everyone and it was worrying not just to me, but to her school. They called and asked about why she was like this and so I had to tell a half truth to them, saying that he wasn't coming home for a while and she misses him, they didn't ask anymore information luckily but I'm keeping an eye out for Child Services just in case. Magdalene was helping me in the kitchen as we were making a lasagna for dinner, I didn't want to take too long making something in case I went into labor.
The winter weather was making the wet streets of London nearly frozen over and icy, dangerous for anyone and I was worried about Pia and Liam walking home from school. I kept feeling lower back pain but I though it was Braxton Hicks again, we've had three false alarms already so I was not going to the hospital to deal with another one. "You okay?" Magdalene asked me and I nodded stiffly, I don't think this one was a Braxton Hicks labor. "Just feeling some lower back pain." I told her and she stopped and looked at me, and turned off the oven and helped me out of my chair. "Darling I don't think this is a false labor, I think this one is for real." She said and I was about to disagree when I felt sharp pain from my uterus, one I felt before. "Shit, that's a contraction." I hissed and she grabbed the baby bag, our phones and I texted Tessa to watch the kids, thankfully Luna was with Tessa as it was so this was fine.
Hours of painful labor later
Finally after a good five hours, I was holding my newborn son in my arms. I was exhausted and had hair sticking to my body from sweat but it was worth it to see his little face. I was crying in both happiness and sadness, happy that I brought this boy into the world and sad that Deckard wasn't here to see his son. "He's gorgeous." Magdalene said, smiling like a proud Grandmother, he had a head full of rich brown hair and I didn't know what his eyes were yet. "He is, I just wish Decks was here to see him." I said and she nodded but we just smiled and look at his sleeping face. "Want to hold him?" I asked my Mother-in-Law who immediately nodded and took him from my arms. She talked to him and it was funny seeing this very old woman act like a child when her Grandson.
Suddenly the door was being knocked on and I was shocked when I saw who was at the door.
Authors opinion: Hey guys, yes this is a cliffhanger and I made it like that because I wanted it and this was more focused on the birth and the next chapter will be focused on this cliffhanger. Either way I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and until the next time bye
