Chapter One

The Fast and the Furious

(Your P.O.V)

I was doing my school work with Mia when I saw the same blonde boy come into the store. "Loverboy's here~" I teased and she blushed slightly and I smirked, I loved teasing my cousin. "Tuna on white, no crust, right?" Mia asked him and just like every day he asked her the same question. "I don't know, how is it?" He asked her while looking at a magazine from Harry's. "Every day for the last three weeks, you've been coming in here and you've been asking me how the tuna is. Now, it was crappy yesterday, it was crappy the day before. And guess what? It hasn't changed." Mia told him and in the end, he ordered the same thing yet again. I watched out of the corner of my eye Dom grabbing another beer, he looked stressed and yet I wished he get rid of some of that stress. I know I'm one of the reasons he's so stressed out, I'm just another mouth to feed. 

My parents died two months ago, they worked as police officers and it was a drug bust gone wrong. Dom was quick to let him and Mia take me in, I'm thankful since they lived close enough to my school so I didn't have to transfer but it meant that I couldn't hang out with my friends after school like I used to since Dom set up a strict curfew for me. It was stupid and I hated it, but I know he's just trying to protect me. 

Suddenly I heard the familiar sound of import cars and I knew it was Dom's and Mia's friends, Dom's 'team'. Vince, Leon, Letty and Jesse got out of their cars and they were surrounding Vince's car, something about his fuel map having a hole in it. Then Vince pointed to Loverboy's truck, technically Harry owned it but that's not the point. See Vince has had a thing for Mia for sometime now, despite being the same age as Dom, and he's very jealous over the fact that Mia is more interested in Loverboy over him. She's known him since they were kids, this could've been expected, she might just see him only as a friend or a brother, not a romantic interest. Thankfully he isn't interested in me, something about my hair he doesn't like. I don't know what disinterested him, my hair was just fine. I'll admit, the curls are a pain but c'mon man. Letty's the only one who's defending him, clearly she's the more smarter of the four, Leon and Vince are just assholes and Jesse's the Mad Scientist so there's nothing wrong with him. 

They walk in and I put my headphones and turned on my iPod, something my Dad bought for me for my birthday. I zoned out and focused on my work, not even seeing the fight outside until I saw Dom walking right past me. "Oh, cool." I nonchalant said and went back to work. I honestly didn't care for Vince's jealously right now, I had an assignment for my AP European History class that's due in a couple of days. "Need any help?" Dom asked me and I looked up and saw him in front of me. "Unless you know anything about Europe's complex history that's at the AP level, no Dom I don't need your help." I remarked and he backed away. "Not like you can understand what I'm learning." I muttered quietly, I don't hate Dom but it feels like he's trying to replace my Dad and I hate that.

I looked at Vince and saw he had a couple of bruises forming. "Got your butt whopped huh?" I teased and he growled but did nothing, I smirked and stuck my tongue out at him. Letty saw that and shook her head with a smile, and then I finished my work. I had AP and Honors classes since I was very bright for my age. "C'mon Anna, I'll take ya home." Letty said and I quickly packed my things and walked out with her and headed back to the house. "How was school?" Letty asked and I shrugged. "Nothing new, although there was a boy who tried to pressure me into a quickie during lunch." I told her and she looked at me with disbelief, I was not a girly girl and I wasn't a tom boy either but I had my own sense of style. "Seriously, what'd you do?" She asked me, placing her eyes back on the road. "I went to the teacher and told them that he was trying to pressure me into something I wasn't comfortable with, luckily I wasn't called down to the office or else Dom would be very pissed." I explained and she chuckled. "That's my girl." She said and we laughed and talked the whole drive back. 

When we got to the house I got out and slung my backpack over my shoulders and headed inside after unlocking the door. I headed up to mine and Mia's room and grabbed some spare clothes to change into and went to take a quick shower. After taking ten minutes in the shower, I got dried and dressed before heading downstairs and preparing dinner for the night. It was too hot and it's only May so I made everyone sandwiches with the bread that was about to go bad. Everyone got home when I finished the sandwiches, we all sat down, said grace, and ate dinner nicely. Then it was eight and time for me to go to bed, school was the next day so I was not going to enjoy it since the school's air conditioner's were down again. 

Hours later, it was like two in the morning and I heard loud music. "Are. You. Kidding. Me?" I questioned myself and grabbing my blanket, I stomped downstairs to see Dom and Loverboy walk inside the house and I heard Dom yelling giving Loverboy a new nickname 'Buster'. "Anna, what're you doing up?" Dom asked me and I glared at him and I saw a twinkle of fear in his eyes. "I was sleeping, until I was woken by the sound of loud music. I probably would've been woken up by your yelling as well. Keep it down." I told him and looked at Loverboy. "Have fun Loverboy, I'm sure Mia's around here somewhere." I teased and yawned and with that I went back to my bed and fell asleep.

Authors opinion: Hello everyone and here is the first chapter of this story, now this is based around the first 35 minutes of the film. Hopefully I did it good enough but you never know. Either way I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and until the next time bye
