Chapter 10

RYDER lifted his head to see a boy who looked older than him. "What do you want?" Ryder asked. "Can I see your iPad?" the boy who looked around thirteen said.
"No" Ryder straight up said. "How rude? I just want to take a look" the boy said. "That's my iPad and I don't have to let you see it" Ryder said. "Your a tough one, I see" the boy said.

"So?" Ryder said. The boy just walked away. "Weirdo" Ryder said. "That's Dylon, you better watch your back because he's a cruel bully" a sudden voice.
Ryder then saw a girl who looked around seven. She was light skinned, with light brown hair and green eyes. "I'm Lily" the girl said.
"I'm Ryder" Ryder said, "I could tell that boy is a bully".

"You better watch your iPad because I know he's after it" Lily said. "Will do" Ryder said, "thanks for warning me about him".
"No problem" Lily said, smiling.

"The foster house should be around here" Chase said. The sun was starting to fall from the sky. The moon was rising and darkness was swallowing Adventure City.
"I'm getting tired" Marshall said, as he fell behind. "I'm gonna keep going until my eyes close on me and my legs collapse" Chase said.

Marshall continued following Chase, at a slow pace though. "Hey!" Chase said, "I think that's the foster home!".

In the foster house, the kids were having dinner, just some simple oatmeal. Ryder stared at his bowl and suddenly lost his appetite.
He was going through so much inside, he felt sick to the stomach. Ryder missed his parents, his home, his pups, his friends, and his once sweet life.

Ryder could actually feel a physical pain aching his heart. "My parents, the ones who once loved me and cared for me. Now they hate me, they said hurtful things to me, their gonna replace me with a new kid, and............ Ryder couldn't think anymore.

"I'm not hungry" Ryder said, his voice trembling. He shoved aside his chair and started walking away. The kids were all looking at him. "Where are you going?" Harley asked. "I'm not hungry. I'm gonna to go to sleep" Ryder said. "Your gonna eat your food. We don't waste a bite of food in this house" Harley said. "I can't eat!" Ryder said, his voice sounding very shaky.

"You are gonna eat it" Harley said. Anger was starting to build up in Ryder's heart.
He walked back to his chair and sat down. He just stared at the oatmeal.

"Eat your food, ugly boy" Dylon said, who was sitting next to Ryder. The word 'ugly boy' triggered Ryder's gun of anger.
Burning flames of anger took over his entire body, making him punch Dylon in the nose.

Chase and Marshall were spying on everyone through a window that was in the living room. "Whoa!" Chase said, seeing Ryder punch the boy in the nose. "Ryder is tough" Marshall said.
They continued watching what was going on.

Everyone gasped at what Ryder did. Dylon's chair fell back and he fell with the chair.
"RYDER!" Harley yelled. "HOW DARE YOU?!".
"He just called me an 'ugly boy'! You think I'm gonna let him get away with that!" Ryder shouted. "Lower your voice when your speaking me" Harley said, looking at Ryder in the eyes.

"Do you understand, young boy?" she said. "Yes" Ryder reluctantly said. Dylon got up and wiped the blood that was drizzling from his nose.
"I'm gonna get you back for this" Dylon growled. Ryder looked at him with blazing eyes of anger.

"Your on punishment! Tomorrow you will be doing all the cleaning in the house!" Harley yelled. Ryder walked to the bedroom and sat on his mattress. "I can't live like this no more" he whispered to himself as tears rolled from his sad brown eyes.
Ryder looked out the window, gazing up at the moon and stars. Harley sent all of the kids to bed. "I'm gonna get revenge on my parents for what they have done to me" Ryder said, staring at the moon and the stars.
