Chapter 12

WHAT truth about us?" Jessie said. "Ryder over here has said that you guys were very harsh and cruel toward him after we told you guys that you must move" the police said.
"He said that you guys didn't give him a chance to change himself and apologize. All you did was straight away send him to the foster home which isn't right. Ryder isn't a bad kid and everyone in this neighborhood knows that. We all know that he didn't intend to do that to you guys, he was only trying to get his pup because you guys took his pup from him with no reason.
Yes that crazy pup caused the accident, but that's over. Ryder also told us that you guys said harsh things to him, like he's the worse son, your gonna replace him with another kid and things like that. Why are you guys treating a young child so harshly and sending him to the foster home without giving him a chance?" the policeman said.

Marty Muckraker was recording what was happening. "We didn't say that Ryder was the worse son, nor did we say that we would replace........ "Yes you guys did! I heard it with my own ears!" Ryder spoke up.

"What you guys said has hurt me so badly and broke my heart into pieces! You two are the worse parents!" Ryder said.
"Well, you deserve to go to the foster home because you took away our life! And that pup deserves to go to the animal shelter because he is the one who caused the accident which led to us spending all of our money" James said.

"I agree! You guys must be crazy to think that's okay!" Jessie said. "Your son was never a bad kid who always caused trouble or bullied other kids. He was always a good kid, so to send him to a foster home the moment he does something that he didn't intend, isn't RIGHT!" the policeman said.

"You can't tell us what we do with our child!" James said. "Fine, you guys don't want to accept that you did something wrong, it's time to go to prison" the policeman said.
"PRISON?" James and Jessie gasped. "Are you outta your mind?" James said.

Two policemen stepped forward and cuffed James and Jessie's hands. "You two aren't good parents. Treating a young child so harshly is against the law" the policeman said. James and Jessie got in the police car. "You thought I wouldn't get you guys back" Ryder said.

The police car drove off and Marty Muckraker stopped recording. It was time to put what happened on the news.

In the foster house, Dylon was on Ryder's iPad. He went in Ryder's WhatsApp. "I see, he has friends" Dylon said. Dylon pressed on Jack's chat. "I have the greatest plan ever" he said. Dylon started texting Jack but he acted as if it was Ryder texting.

Dylon: Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I'm not your friend anymore. Your the nastiest friend I've ever had. I don't why I even befriended you in the beginning.

Dylon sent the message and then pressed on Oliver's chat. He sent each of Ryder's friends a nasty message. "Haha!" Dylon laughed. "This is the best way to get Ryder back for what he has done to me. First punching me on the nose and then doing whatever he did to my cereal" Dylon said.
Dylon then put a password for Ryder's iPad so that he won't be able to get in.

Chase and Marshall were talking together in the garage. "So is this how're we're going to live?" Marshall said, "stay in a garage for the entire day and only see Ryder during the night".
"I remember Ryder saying this morning that we weren't going to stay in Adventure City for long and that he was thinking of a plan" Chase said.

"I wonder what he meant? How is he going to leave Adventure City? He's only a young boy" Marshall said.
Chase started feeling some way when Marshall said that Ryder was only a young boy. "Ryder isn't just a young boy!" Chase said, a slight frown masked on his face.
"He's a hero, he's the most amazing human in this world, he's the bravest boy anyone has ever seen, he is perfect and no one on this earth can be like him".

"Oh, I'm sorry" Marshall said, "I didn't mean to say that". Marshall then stood quiet and stopped talking.
Chase suddenly felt bad about how he came out toward Marshall. "I'm sorry Marshall" Chase said, "I know you didn't mean to say that. I just naturally get so defensive of Ryder. You don't understand how much I love him and how much he means to me.
He risked his own life to save mine's from a van, back then when I was smaller".

"I understand how you feel about Ryder. I love him also. I couldn't have asked for a better human to adopt me from that shelter" Marshall said.
"Hi pups" a sudden voice said. Chase and Marshall turned around to see Ryder standing infront of the garage entrance.

"Ryder!" they both barked at the same. The pups started running toward the boy. Ryder bent down to pet them and they licked his face. "What makes you come?" Chase asked.
Ryder explained everything that had been going on. "Woah! So you got your father and mother in prison?" Marshall gasped.
"That's great! They deserve it!" Chase said.

"I feel much better knowing that I got them back" Ryder said. "Ryder, remember this morning you said that we weren't gonna stay in Adventure City for much longer, what did you mean by that?" Chase asked.

"I've been working on a plan to get us three out of Adventure City. I'm sick and tired of this place" Ryder said, "but my plan hasn't really come to together yet. I don't know where we're gonna go".
"Maybe you can do some research on your iPad" Marshall suggested.

"Good idea" Ryder said. Ryder spent ten more minutes with his pups and then had to go. "Do you really have to go?" Chase asked, his brown eyes looking sad.
"I know you don't like this and I don't like it either. But I promise that this won't last for much longer" Ryder said.

"But I don't want you to leave. I don't like being without you" Chase said, and he started whimpering.
Ryder bent over and hugged Chase closely. "I promise that this will be over soon" Ryder said, "trust me, I hate doing this also. I hate having to leave you guys to go to some house full of strangers. Chase, I need you to be patient. Do you promise to be patient during this tough time?".

Chase looked at Ryder. "I'll be patient" he said. "Don't worry Chase, just remember my promise" Ryder said. Chase licked Ryder on the cheek. "I love you Chase, and you too Marshall" Ryder said, hugging both pups.
Chase and Marshall licked Ryder one last time and then he went off toward the foster home.

Ryder sat on his mattress and grabbed his iPad. He looked at the home screen and saw messages from his friends.

Jack: Ryder, are you okay?! What is wrong with you? How could you call me a nasty friend!

Oliver: I know your going through a lot in the foster home but you shouldn't say things like this to your friends.
How could you call me your worse friend?

Avery: Bro, did you go insane? What in the world happened to you? How could you call me your most disgusting friend?

Ryder eyes were widened in shock and confusion. "What in the world are they talking about?" Ryder said, trying to get into his iPad. "Who put a password to my iPad?" Ryder said. "And why are my friends texting me messages like this? What in the world is going on?!".
