Two: The Night Of The Comet. Part Two.

The next morning, Ellie, Elena, and Bonnie were handing out flyers for the comet tonight...

"Night of the Comet." Ellie said. "Would you like a program?"

Bonnie and Ellie handed a couple a flyer.

"He didn't call, huh?" Asked Bonnie.

"Or text?" Elena asked.

"No, but then I realised we never exchanged that kind of stuff. We never got to the texting part."

"That's an important milestone in any relationship, right, Elena?" Bonnie asked.

Ellie handed out another flyer.

"Yep." Elena says, popping the p.

"Isn't it? The timing is wrong anyway." Ellie said, huffing softly.

"When is it ever right? The guy is totally into you." Said Bonnie.

"I'm just not ready, Bonnie." Ellie tells them.

"Who is?" Asked Elena.

"At least I put myself out there, more than my twin has." Ellie says.

"Is that what you're calling it? Stefan doesn't like Elena; he likes you." Said Bonnie.

"What do you mean?" Ellie asked, looking at them and giving them a confused look.

"All we're hearing is reasons why you can't." Said Elena.

"Right." Bonnie said, nodding and agreeing with Elena.

With Stefan, he was talking to his uncle...

"What is Damon doing here? Why did he come home?" Asked Zach.

"Because I came home. He wants to make my life miserable. It's how he enjoys his." Said Stefan.

"Well, he's putting us all at risk. This girl in the hospital could talk." Zach says.

"She won't." Stefan said, buttoning up his shirt. "I took care of her."

"You're sure?" Zach asked, staring at Stefan.

"I'm not sure, Zach. I don't know how well it worked. I'm not as strong as Damon." Stefan says, signing loudly.

"What happens if it doesn't work?" Asked Zach.

"I honestly don't know. I'll deal with it." Stefan says, putting on his leather coat.

"Is she worth it, Uncle Stefan? This girl you came back for?" Zach asked.

"I would appreciate it if you used her name. Ellie. Yes, she's worth it."
