In the present, Bonnie's date with Ben takes a frightening turn. Elena and Ellie help Stefan as Stefan and Damon race to find the missing journal that belong to Elena and Ellie's ancestor. Stefan learns the reason behind Alaric's interest in both the journal and the town's history. Damon discovers that an old acquaintance has returned to town with an agenda he understands.

A horse and carriage rode the trails during the night...
Katherine was next to a dead Damon, and she saw the carriage.
"Please! Please help us. Please? My husband. He's been hurt. Please help him." Katherine said, begging for their help.
The person who was riding the carriage runs towards him.
"What are you two doing out here in the middle of the night? It's not safe." The man says, getting out of the back of the carriage.
"No. No, sir. It's not safe." Katherine said, fangs coming out.
Katherine bit into his neck. Katherine stands in front of the man who was checking on her husband.
Katherine bites into his neck too.
"And that's how it's done." Katherine says, turning back to Damon.
"What happens to the bodies?" Damon asked.
"We'll take them into the woods. The other animals will finish them off." Katherine tells him.
Damon looked a little freaked out.
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Katherine asked.
"I'm ready. I want you to turn me." Damon said.
"When it's time." Katherine tells him.
Damon stared at her.
"Kiss me."

Damon grabbed the small white tissue from his jacket pocket.
"You should get a taste." Katherine mumbled, leaning in and tried kissing him.
Damon pulled back.
"I'm sorry." Said Damon.
"Don't be. Soon, you won't be able to get enough." Katherine said.
Damon leaned in and kissed her.
