All these tears
From over the years
Collect inside a hole
That I tried to fill in long ago
Instead of rocks or sand
The hole filled with my tears
It created an ocean
The ocean of broken dreams
I fell off the bridge that held me up
Floating in the ocean
The water deep enough to be my grave
The bottle was sent to you
Please read my note and join me in my ocean of tears
You know who you are
You have seen the creation of my ocean
I'm floating here alone
Even when I beg to be alone
Please see that I am lying
Please see through my mask
Accept my apologies and throw me a raft
Hand me your hand
Or float next to me
Give me the stars to look at at night
You were never mine
But I let you keep me
Even now in the ocean of tears you have a part of me
As I'm drowning in the waves waiting for your response
Telling you I'm fine, to not save me
Begging for you to realize that I'm living a lie
When the waves bring me under
I realize
The part of me you have
Is my ability to swim in my own ocean of tears
