About ten years later, Audrey lived in South Carolina and became an artist who mostly painted wolves. Her artwork appeared in the magazine "Young Artists who may Become Famous" at least three times. She would usually go to the local coffee shop to gather ideas.
One day, she went to the coffee shop and had her usual Latte with cream and sugar. She looked around for some more ideas, but nothing. Then, someone very familiar walked in. Audrey watched her go to the front table, and order the same cup of coffee as her. She got her coffee and looked around for a place to sit. She saw Audrey, then smiled, waved, and walked over to her.
"I'm sorry, is this seat taken?"
"No, help yourself."
The girl sat down.
"Thanks, this place is pretty packed if you know what I mean."
Audrey thought for a moment then looked at her.
"Yes, it helps me find inspiration."
"Inspiration for what?"
"I'm a painter."
"You look familiar, I swear I saw you in Young Artists who may Become Famous magazines."
"That's me. Audrey Simmons."
She looked at Audrey and became even more glad to see her.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Alicia."
"You look familiar too, I can't put my finger on it."
Alicia looked at Audrey not knowing what to say.
"I can't believe you remember it."
"Remember what?"
Alicia looked at her watch.
"Ten years ago today is when your inspiration became wolves, right?"
"Yes, how do you know that? You weren't going to Minnesota Middle that day."
"No, I wasn't, but that was the day you met me."
"Oh my god," Audrey whispered under her breath.
She remembered where and when she met Alicia.
"It's you! You were the wolf who turned into a girl. You were the one who showed me how to get out of the woods!"
"Yes, it's me. Don't let the entire coffee shop know."
"I have so many questions."
"Which will all be answered soon."
"May I ask one now?"
"I'll allow it."
"How did you do it?"
"Months of training which you will go through."
"Me?"
"Yes, you. Also, a select few will train with you."
"The legend says that I will have 'The Dream of the Deal' and 'The Dream of the Choice'. Is this true?"
"You will go through this. Tonight, when you have reached the point where you are in deep sleep."
"Hey, I got to go. Can I get your phone number?"
"Sure."
Audrey and Alicia exchanged phone numbers, said their goodbyes, and left the coffee shop.
