Chapter 16:

Emily was in her room thinking about the situation about moving in with her mom. Like will her mom let her? Will Grayson and Ethan even let her after what happened. Does she even really want to live with her mom? All she wants is to make sure her baby sister or brother  is safe because she doesn't want them to grow up like she did.

Emily wakes up that morning to find her mother in the kitchen.

Emily: mom?
Linda: Hi sweetie, is everything okay?
Emily: uh... I want to speak to you about something
Linda: sure what is it?
Emily: it's... about staying with you
Linda: *surprised* oh honey as much as I want that, I don't think that's a good idea. I lost all legal rights with you
Emily: that's the thing what if I told the judge that you have change and the women that was supposed to look after me
Linda: then you'll family would be in a lot of trouble and you could end up in the system. Honey, I rather you not risk this
Emily: why not? I thought the reason you came here was to get me?
Linda: it was at first but then I realize how happy you're with your siblings, and I didn't want to take that away from you or them. Have you even consider how they would feel if they lost you?
Emily: *sighs* I haven't really thought of that. But I know they wouldn't approve, they would miss me too much
Linda: exactly and they have a lot more money than I have and they would do anything to keep me away from you like your father did
Emily: they can't do that, can they?
Linda: it happened with your father and if they're a lot like him then its possible
Emily: well then I just won't allow it. I'll run away if I have too
Linda: Emily... as much as I want you to be with me, it's not a good idea. Trust me.
Emily: *tears well up in her eyes* it's not fair!
Linda: I know sugar
Emily: I wish I can decide who I want to live with
Linda: maybe when you're an adult. For now you got to do what the judge says. Plus its not good a idea for you to stay with me right now since I'm recovering
Emily: but they let you keep the baby
Linda: actually when the baby is born someone has to monitor me and my baby to make sure I'm not using them
Emily: oh...
Linda: so what has the boys decided your punishment would be
Emily: I don't know, they will let me know later. But I have a feeling my life is soon about to change *feels her mom's stomach* I hope you get to be with mom forever *kiss belly* don't let anybody take you away from her
Linda: *smiles*

Emily felt the baby kicked and she gasped.

Emily: it kicked!
Linda: that means it loves you
Emily: I love him/her too
Linda: *smiles* it's a girl sweetie
Emily: I'm having a little sister?
Linda: yeah... you're

Emily eyes started to water happy tears and she hugged her mom and she hugged her back.

The twins were listening by the door and they were in shocked and they quietly walked away thinking.

Later.

Emily stepped out of the room to find Ethan and Grayson talking quietly among themselves.

Emily: Ethan? Grayson?
Ethan: hey kiddo, come here

Emily sat with them and Ethan pulled her own his lap.

Emily: what's wrong?
Grayson: Ethan and I have been thinking... and we decided to ground you
Emily: okay... for how long?
Ethan: until we see some behavioral changes
Grayson: and you will be staying here with your moms
Emily: why!
Grayson: isn't that what you wanted. To be with your mom.
Emily: *gulps* you heard...
Grayson: yeah we heard

Grayson spat back and Emily looked taken back.

Emily: I'm sorry I didn't know how else to tell you guys
Ethan: we decided to let you stay here until summer. You will be homeschooled the rest of the school year since regular school hasn't been working out for you
Emily: okay... I am coming back right?
Ethan: yes sweetheart you're coming back, this is just for a little while. This is what you want right?
Emily: yeah, I want my little sister to get to know me when she's born
Ethan: I know, now for Grayson's punishment for stealing. I will leave you two alone to discuss it
