Lost In Your Eyes

Good Morning

~ After Waking Up ~

------Owen POV------

Night turned to day in what seemed to be seconds. The bright pinks and yellows smudging into each other as day makes it's way closer. I turn around in my bed. It was 4:23 a.m. "Why am I up so early?" I mutter to myself. I turn to the other side to see Xìnyì wide awake. She seemed like she was panting. Her chest arose then dropped over and over again. "You ok?" I whisper yell. She spun around making the sheets rustle with her movement. She nodded her head calming her panting. I looked at her with a curious face. "Nightmares?" I couldn't tell if I had asked it or just said it. She simply nodded her head again. She looked like she was overtired. I walk over to her side of the bed and sit next to her. "What are you doing?" she asks. "I'll stay here until you fall asleep. She thought for a moment then gave a warm smile, laid down and shut her eyes. Within moments she was off in a doze. I looked at my bed. I wasn't tired. I stayed by Xìnyì for the rest of her slumber. 

It was now 7:01 a.m. and Xìnyì was still sleeping. "Just wake her up!" Jay yells. "Jay if you wake her I swear I will kick you down the stairs." Callie snarls. I chuckle at my cousins as they fight. I then realised I had so much fun yesterday I forgot about the presents! What about the cake?! I must have fallen asleep before we had it! Oh well I'll have it after dinner with Callie, Jay, and Xìnyì. 

------Xìnyì POV------

I flutter my eyes open only to squeeze them shut again from the blinding light that crept through the blinds. I let out a small yawn and sit up. "hey she's awake!" Callie yells. I smile warmly. "School starts in an 50 minutes and we have to catch the bus hurry we have to get ready Xì!" Callie then says remembering the time. I jump up out of my bed then realise something that Callie said. "We?" I say blinking in confusion at her. "Haha surprise! I'm moving schools! I told Owen to not tell you yesterday!" I was so shocked I didn't know what to say so I redirected my focus onto Owen who was chuckling a little. I bolted to the bathroom door to get dressed. A second later I bolted back out to get my clothes I forgot outside. Callie and Owen were already dressed. Jay was just slumped on the bed looking at unread texts on his phone. I quickly got myself dressed in my uniform and bolted out. Before I could reach the stairs Callie grabbed my shoulder and turned me around to face her. "Girl your collar is all scruffy." She says adjusting it to her liking. "Thanks." I say then me Owen and Callie went down to the bus... I think Callies older brother went to College, which started later for him. 

We got on the bus. Now this was the hard part. Who do I sit with? Callie, or Owen? I mean I always sit with Owen but Callie is now staying permanently. Maybe I could take turns? Yeah that sounds good.  I'll sit with Owen on the way back. I sat next to Callie and nodded at Owen. He smiled warmly and took out his sketch book for the drive. "I hope were in the same class!" Callie whisper yells. I nod my head. "Yeah that would be good." The rest of the trip I got Callie to teach me numbers in English. 

The bus finally arrived at the school. All three of us walked out and into the school, which I still thought was huge. I directed Callie to my class in the hopes that there would be a seat for her... I really wanted her in my class. And there it was. A small seat saved for Callie....... by Lilly and Nia.
