~ After school ~

------Xìnyì POV------

I walked to the bus with Callie and Owen. I was going to sit with Owen this time on the bus. I took a seat next to Owen and placed my heavy bag on my lap. We both did a greeting nod together and sat in silence. Callie was on her phone looking at memes. I then saw Owen take out his sketchbook again... he seemed to try and hide it a little from me though. "Owen?" I ask. He spun around to look at me rather quickly. "May I see your sketches? I-If your ok with it." I heard him do a small gulp then he nodded his head. He showed me... i didn't get much time to analyse it because he snatched it away before I could really get into the detail. I blink in confusion at him. I should probably mind my own business I think to myself. In his sketchbook sat two people at a table. That was the only thing I could get from it. "Hey Owen are you free for me to come over today? Marleen said I can go home with you today if your ok with it." Owen nodded his head. A few minutes after the bus stopped. Me and Owen got off and entered his mansion house. His mother was sewing on a small table. I do a bow. "Hello" she smiles at me and waves. "Here let me take that." Owen says lifting the heavy bag off of my now weak, bruised shoulders. "Thanks" I sit on their white cozy couch. My body sinks into the soft couch and I feel the cool comfort of it. I see Owen walking upstairs so I decide to follow him from a safe distance. I probably shouldn't be intruding like this but curiosity got the best of me. Owen opened a door and then walked in. A moment after he locked it. Then it clicked to me. He's using the bathroom. I face palm and walk away until..... I catch his sketchbook with the corner of my eye. He's let me see it before there shouldn't be any harm in taking a small peek. I walk over to where Owen placed his sketchbook and opened up the folded page. I saw a young girl with blood red eyes and midnight black hair sipping on something, on the other side of the table the girl was sitting at sat a man with dark brown hair and pitch black eyes. He was smiling. Between the two was a vase of flowers. "Cute" I whisper. I turn the next page as more curiosity fills me. The same man and girl were in a small boat. There were a bunch of Lilly pads surrounding them and the boy seemed to have a guitar. I eagerly turned the next page itching to see his other drawings. Before I could do so though I heard the rustling of a towel and then the door opening I slam the book shut, dash away from the book and sit on the floor. I only just made it to the floor before he came out. "You ok? What was all that stomping all of a sudden?" Owen asks confused. "Yeah I'm ok, w-what stomping?" I try to say innocently. "N-Nothing never-mind." he says with a small grin. "So what do you want to do?" I ask trying to change the subject. "Umm, maybe we can go to the local park?" I cock my head to the left in confusion. "You mean the skate park?" I ask in a squeaky voice. "No a park you haven't gone to before, it has a really fast flying fox." He then says. "Really! Ok let's go!" I shout excited.

Me and Owen walked to the park. It had beautiful trees hanging over a small swing set. It was a little windy but the sun was still out and shining it's rays of light. Then I saw the flying fox. It was a seat connected to a rope that latched onto a zip line. The zip line went so far I couldn't even see where it ended. The seat looked like it could fit two people. "You want to go on it now?" Owen asks seeing my amazed face. I nod excitedly and he let a small chuckle slip. Owen helps me up to the seat cause you know.... i'm short, then he climbed up. I look at him in confusion. "doesn't someone have to push it?" I ask readying myself to get off to push it. He laughed. "No silly, look." I look to where he was pointing and there was a small lever. "When your ready pull it Xìnyì." he then continues. I nod my head and pull it straight away. Within a blink of an eye the seat was dropped from the rope onto another zip line I must have missed and went zooming into the distance. We past through many bushes, but we were going so fast it was all blur. I couldn't help but yell "Wooooohooooo" I raise my arms in the air and enjoy the refreshing breeze smashing against my face violently making my hair fly all over the place. Owen laughed and joined in. When we finally got off we were really dizzy for some reason. After we regained our balance we gave a small chuckle. "You ready to get going?" Owen asks. "Are you kidding?! Let's go on it again! He looks at me in shock. "A-Again?" I laugh and answer in the cutest voice I could. "yes!" He let another chuckle slip and we walked back to the flying fox.
