Loo? Where'd you go?"
"I'm right here, darling. I went upstairs to get your scarf. I'm sorry." Loki replies as he hurries down the stairs.
"You know I don't like it when you don't tell me you're going somewhere Loki. Please let me know next time!" She says, reaching for Loki.
"I know darling. I'm so sorry I scared you." He says as he takes Aurora's hand and kisses it softly.
"What are you wearing? Let me see?" She asks as she takes her hand away from his and puts it on his chest, trying to feel the fabric and recognize which clothing he chose.
"Oh its... Well, it's a blue turtleneck sweater. The one you bought me because you liked the feel of it." He says unsure. He doesn't like wearing colors except green. But he knows Aurora likes it when he does.
"You're wearing blue?? That's a first! What shade of blue is it?" She asks as she slides her hands down his abdomen and places them on his belt.
He lifts his hands and first, holds her shoulders to let her know he's about to touch her face, then places them at both sides of her face. "Yes, my love. I'm wearing blue. I know you love this one."
"And about the color... Do you remember what my favourite painting of yours was?" He asks her. She nods her head, as she snuggles her face closer to his hand. "Well, there was this tent you drew on one of the shops. It was the only building with a tent. Do you remember the color of it?"
"Yes, my darling. I remember every painting I've ever done. And that's a lovely color. I'm sure you look dashing in it!"
He closes his eyes for a second, guilt washing over him, remembering once again how much she used to love painting. He looks to his right, to the last painting she did. It's unfinished but it's Aurora's favorite. His own green eyes are looking back at him from the painting.
"Thank you, love. Let's go now, before it gets late." He takes the scarf from around his neck and puts it around hers. He kisses her gently, using the scarf to pull her to him.
She giggles softly before kissing back. Then he takes her hand and places it on his arm, putting his other hand on hers. He leads her to the door.
She's been blind for 4 years.
They've been on the run for 4 years.
They've been running from Odin and well, the whole of Midgard. It's easy, really. Staying hidden. They can't trust anyone and they only have each other. But that's okay. They are more than enough. What they have is rare, and they are aware of that. Actually, Loki is the one who needs to run, but of course Aurora didn't let him do that alone.
She wasn't blind when this whole running thing started. It was pretty simple, how she lost her sight. After everything they've been through, you expect it to be something extreme, something supernatural. But no, it was a simple car accident. They had just started running when it happened. They had found a cute little home in a simple unknown town. The people were nice and unconnected to the outer world. They didn't even know about the invasion of New York. It made it easier for them to stay hidden. But Loki didn't take any risks of course. He used illusions to hide their faces. And he cast a spell to hide them from Heimdall.
