"lexi, you need to come to the office right now. i've got news!" jamal hurriedly said and hung up on me.

i was at the west of london at the moment where a murder had taken place a few hours ago. so, i was basically working on two cases at the same time, instead of focusing on the psycho irwin. well, that wasn't the first time for me neither the last.

"james, i'm out. jamal just called." i almost yelled so he could hear me. he walked closer to me with a broken knife in a plastic bag.

"seems like we have a new clue." he smiled upon looking at the knife. "i'll send it to the lab. anyway, i'll call you if there's any news" he dismissed me and turned away.

the drive back to the office was torturing with all this traffic and everything got even more torturing when i had to wait ten minutes for the elevator.

as soon as i was in my team's office, jamal jumped up and grabbed my hand pulling me to his desk. "took you long enough!" everyone gathered around us and i was now nervous on what his news was.

"so, there were a few pictures delivered to us an hour ago. wanna see?" he asked me and i rolled my eyes, not even bothering to respond. of course i wanted to see.

so, that's how i saw clearly the face of our serial killer walking carefree on the streets of a foreign country, that was for sure.

"where is he?" i inquired and adam was already telling me his whereabouts.

"he's currently in rome. he was spotted outside the british embassy. maybe he's lurking for his next victim."

"i have already communicated with the italian interpol department and they have been searching for him this past hour. police might be involved if he isn't found in four hours." winona butted in taking off her glasses and rubbing her eyes. i nodded my head thinking of all the possible scenarios. i already knew what i had to do.

"well, guys, pack your bags. we're going on a trip."
