"why didn't you tell the police right away, irwin?" she asked me and i had to laugh it off.

"i knew they weren't going to do anything about it if there weren't enough evidence. they couldn't possibly catch them."

"so you thought that it would be easier to kill them?" the detective asked again.

"i knew that i would get it done." i answered and she smiled.

"look, irwin, your face tells me that you're a good person, but your actions have proven otherwise." she let out a breath.

"i am aware of my actions."

"ashton, your killing spree has cost you your own life. you were number one surgeon in london at such a young age, you were respected and strong."

"where are you trying to get at, detective?" i didn't want to hear anymore of this. i was well aware of who i was and who i became.

"i'm just saying, that you ruined your career and your whole life by pulling this."

"i told you, i was aware of my actions and i am ready to accept what's in for it." i answered. she stood up, walked gracefully around the table and sat on it, facing me.

"what lead you to do it?" she asked after a moment of silence.

i sighed and brought my face to my hands, hiding some tears that where begging to come out. "do you have any siblings or children, detective?" i asked and looked up in her eyes.

"i have a sister." she said.

"i had one as well." i spoke bringing back the memory of my baby sister.

"had? what happened?" she crossed her arms and waited for my response.
