"james are you covered?" i talked to him through the radio. we seperated our ways to enter the house and i had to make sure agent james was safe so i could give the signal to barge in. two other agents were behind me and two more were supposed to follow james to the back door.
of course the whole house was surrounded by shooters ready to fire if something went wrong.
"yes. we're outside the door. waiting for your signal, ma'am." james' voice was heard and i swallowed hard before nodding my head with certainty.
"now!" was the only word that needed to be said and we were already breaking through the heavy door.
i held a gun in my right hand and a torch, which was probably unnecessary, in my left hand. i walked slowly around the first room we got in, the lounge room. it was empty.
i signaled to the two men who were following me to go left as i went right and entered the bathroom. with a first look, i knew it was empty as well, but that didn't keep me from searching in the bathtub. it was a cliche and most of the time no one was there, but it didn't stop it from being a hideout.
i sighed when i found nothing and proceeded to return to the main room where the two agents that followed me and james stood.
"boss, i think i found something." the other two agents, who followed james, came rushing in. a piece of paper was handed to me.
"i knew you were coming for me and i still wasn't ready to surrender. i am not doing this because i enjoy murdering people. i wish you gave me the chance to explain the horrible things they do, but all you care about is catching another criminal instead of trying to stop criminality. maybe my way isn't the right way, i admit it, however it's the only way to stop them. and i will try to stop them, all of them. -a.i."
