Hoseok felt a sharp pain in his side and turned to look, only to see groups of kids laughing. He rubbed his side in pain and continued to walk down the hallway to his class.

Before he could get far, the eleven year old was pushed to the ground. Groaning as his head hit the nearby lockers, he saw Mark grab him by the collar of his shirt. Hoseok whimpered and prepared for impact.

Usually Mark would've punched him by now, but he didn't. When Hoseok opened his eyes Mark was pulled back by a teacher.

"Hoseok, are you okay?"

Hoseok nodded his head to his interpreter, and he helped him stand up.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

Hoseok was quick to grab his school belongings and rushed to his first class, his interpreter following behind him. Once he reached his class he put his head down. Mark has been bullying him for being deaf since he was seven. No matter how much he got in trouble for it he always continued and never gave up.

"Hoseok, was that Mark? Is he after you again?"

Hoseok didn't feel like signing today. He didn't want to communicate with the judgemental outside world. He didn't want to be at school, all he wanted to do was be in bed, at his house, under his blankets and cry.

Mr. Jeon tapped Hoseok's shoulder. Hoseok looked up and signed:

"Hoseok, talk to me."

Hoseok rolled his eyes.

"There's no point. Everyone's mean because of something I was born with. I'm not old enough to fix it so there's no point in anything."

Hoseok put his head back down on his desk, in the front row. Mr. Lim sighed and sat down next to him, mentally preparing for the day.
