Returning to Ilsan was depressing. Many things Jimin enjoyed were gone, including his favorite flower shop. Their town was all over the news.
Seokjin sat in the passenger in Jimin's car as they drove to his house, that was luckily still standing. Jimin was beyond grateful.
Once Seokjin looked around they sat down in Jimin's large living room for coffee. Jimin wasn't a big drinker, but he enjoyed it every once in a while. It made him tired, which was his biggest sign of ADHD; caffeine exhausted him.
"So, do you think the other people in that store can be friends with us? I mean, you and I are friends..." Jimin asked him. "If they wanted to, they know my name, that's all." Seokjin sipped his coffee. "No one can be friends with me because I attract introverts, my hyper-ness doesn't go well with them." Jimin mumbled. "I can handle your crazy-ness." Seokjin smiled sweetly at him. "Thanks..."
"We should give facts about ourselves, so we can be closer friends." Jimin blurted out. "I can go first." He offered. Seokjin nodded. "Well, another reason most people don't like me, is because I'm bisexual, I like both girls and guys..." Jimin thought if he said it first, their friendship wouldn't be ruined when it came out later.
"Oh, okay...I've never had a friend like that before but it's cool." Seokjin nodded. Jimin sighed in relief. "Your turn." He told him. "I have an older brother who lives in Seoul. My family's there, they have their own restaurant business." Seokjin told him. "Your family are chef's? That's cool." Jimin smiled. "My parents don't really keep in contact with me anymore, after I moved out...my hyper-ness irritated them." He told Seokjin. "I'm sorry, that sucks." Seokjin pouted. "Well, it's nice to not have your mom hit you for running around the house, despite no sleep." Jimin laughed nervously. "I guess..."
Min Yoongi Focus
"How are you feeling, Mr. Min?"
"Not great." Yoongi answered to the nurse. "It feels like my head is splitting open. It's not even a headache, there's a lot of pressure behind my eyes." He sighed and tried massaging his temples, his steady heartbeat echoing in the room. "I'm very sorry to hear that, what can I do?" The young female walked over to him, turning the TV down a little. "I don't know...ever since that earthquake my head's been feeling like this..." Yoongi told her, resting his heavy head on the white pillow behind him.
"Mr. Min, I think you should really think about your emergency contact, if anything goes wrong-" "I'd rather die alone, thank you." Yoongi cut her off. "People can't care enough for me anyway, I've got an inoperable brain tumor and everyone around me is just waiting for me to die already. There's not really a reason to get attached if I'm going to die soon." Yoongi cut her off.
"I see...just, usually when a patient stops breathing they've either signed a DNR or we call in family or friends to make decisions for us..." She told him, resting her hands on the side of the hospital bed. "Do not resuscitate..." Yoongi mumbled quietly to himself. He's thought about a DNR for a few years, but he always tried to be optimistic, that maybe one day he'd find an important person that would make him want to live. "If I signed a DNR, could I change my mind?" He asked the young doctor. "Of course. If you want to revoke a DNR you can." She nodded. "Well, regardless of my only friend, my service animal Holly, I don't think he'll care if I sign one, so I'd like to." Yoongi half-joked, smiling. "You're aware of what a DNR stands for-" "I've been in hospitals over half my life, I'm practically a neurologist. I know what a DNR is, and I'd like to sign one." Yoongi nodded.
"I can go get you the paperwork, I'll return shortly..."
Yoongi was left alone in his hotel room, again. Sighing, he turned up the volume of the TV and switched to the news channels.
After a stage seven earthquake devastated the small city of Ilsan, one particular shop stands out to the crowd. Lim's Petals, a small flower shop, is the only building in the entire town to survive the earthquake. While the walls collapsed and the quake decided straight through the shop, the foundation is still in place. Ilsan's population is approximately only six thousand. There were seven customers in the flower shop in the time of the earthquake, and coincidentally they were all men in their mid-twenties. Kim Seokjin is labeled the hero of the Ilsan earthquake, for he is the man in Lim's Petals to save, every customer in the store. He brought each man out of the dangerous area to the help of paramedics, even lifting a block of concrete off of an impaled male, and rushed to get help...
Yoongi remembered Seokjin. He saw him just before he passed out...
"Hey, are you okay?"
"I don't think so."
"Woah, okay,"
"It's okay, I've got you. I'm Seokjin."
With his head throbbing Yoongi grabbed his phone and made himself look at the bright screen, long enough to track this 'Seokjin' down.
Kim Seokjin Focus
"Hyung stop it!"
Jimin whined when Seokjin killed him again. Seokjin giggled, his eyes glued to the screen as he pressed the PlayStation buttons frantically. "I'll win easier if I kill you." He smirked, as Jimin respawned. "You're so mean~" Jimin pouted.
Suddenly Seokjin's phone rang with an incoming call, and he paused the game. "Seokjin hyung I was about to win! Resume it!" Jimin whined louder and squirmed in his spot. Seokjin felt like he was babysitting, but he cursed himself for thinking such a mean thought. "It's an unknown number, hold on Jiminie." Seokjin answered and put the phone to his ear. "Hello?"
"Um, hi, is this, uh, Kim Seokjin?" A male voice came in from the other end. "Yes, may I ask who's calling?" Seokjin answered. "Um, I'm Min Yoongi, we were in the flower shop when the earthquake hit Ilsan yesterday..."
Seokjin smiled. "Hi! I'm glad you're okay." He told him. "Yeah, thanks to you...I wanted to thank you, I was in a bit of a shock when that happened...I'd like to meet up with you to thank you personally- if it's alright with you, of course..." He seemed awkward, but Seokjin could tell he was trying not to. "Oh, I'm the one with the black hair."
Seokjin remembered. "Ah, I understand. Yes, I'd like to meet up too. When are you available?" He asked. "Well, I don't have much of a life, so almost any time..." The male laughed awkwardly. "Are you okay with tonight? I'm actually hanging out with another boy that was in the flower shop." Seokjin turned to Jimin and smiled. "Yes, that's fine. Where would you like to meet?"
A few minutes later, Seokjin hung up and added the person to his contacts. "That was Min Yoongi, the black haired boy from the flower shop. He wants to meet up tonight to thank me, I think." He told Jimin. "Oh, that's cool! I remember him, I accidentally hit him on the head when I was dancing." Jimin giggled. "Yeah, we're going to meet at his hotel lobby later..." Seokjin said. "Would you mind coming with me? I don't know if he's a murderer or anything." He laughed. "Of course I'll come with you, Seokjin hyung!" Jimin squealed. "Alright. Let's get back to this game so I can beat you."
