Filipino values are, for the most part, centered at maintaining social harmony, motivated primarily by the desire to be accepted within a group. The main sanction against diverging from these values are the concepts of "Hiya", roughly translated as 'a sense of shame', and "Amor propio" or 'self-esteem'. And important to know what are the characteristics that have every Filipinos like it's been described as friendly, outgoing, sensitive, easily offended, nosy, garrulous, direct, hospitable, feisty, irreverent, good natured, clever, witty, gregarious, happy, generous, easy to laugh, gracious, easy to befriend, casual, fun loving, sensitive and hospitable. And also it taughtand learning about the ideals that a society thinks is important. The aim is for students not only to understand the values, but also to reflect them in their attitudes and behaviour, and contribute to society through good citizenship and ethics. Additional Culture plays an important role in one's life. Not just by the fact that it drives and lead the people to their way of life but it is also the key to one's identity. But having the notion that we are driven by our culture makes us separated from one another. as Filipinos we have the best traits in the world. We are not perfect but we have the great characteristics and qualities that everyone must be proud of. Thus, let us appreciate the fact that these values should be applied to our society to have a good potential in terms of working for our human upliftment and to our national betterment.Filipino values refer to the set of values or the value system that a majority of the Filipino have historically held important in their lives. This Philippine value system includes their own unique assemblage of consistent ideologies, moral codes, ethical practices, etiquette, and cultural and personal values that are promoted by their society. Even tho before the spaniards came we already have our own belief it just that after the spaniards they influence us so they are changes but stil as a filipino there's a remarkable culture, tradition, and values Filipinos desire harmony, not only in interpersonal relationships, but also with nature and religion, while still remaining nondichotomous that's why this is the signifance of studying filipino character to know more about our fellow filipino and also our ancestors before we came to this world Filipinos are not perfect, but we have great characteristics and qualities every one of us should be proud of.
