"How long do you think they waited before moving?" Reggie says after a long time of silence. Alex looks at him, surprised by the question. He tries to think of an answer; one that will help Reggie instead of hurting him. He bows his head when he realizes, there isn't one.
"I.. don't know, Reg. I don't know," he admits.
Reggie nods his head solemnly. They sit and try to think of an answer. Or a way to find it out. But they realize, they won't know. They aren't lucky enough to have them around. At least Luke has a chance.

Luke holds his breath as he walks up to the house. It's the first time he's built up enough courage to even show up. The bushes in front of the living room window provide perfect cover for him as he waits. The bushes are more comforting than anything; since they can't see him.
There they are. Sitting at the kitchen table.
"Mom," Luke says instantly, a tear rolling down his cheek. "I'm so sorry."
