**(A/N): Hi guys! I just had a quick question: Would you like shorter chapters and faster updates or longer chapters and they are uploaded every week? If I were to have faster updates, they’d probably be twice a week. Please comment your preference, I just thought it would be nice to comply to the reader’s suggestion for once. Thank you! And enjoy the early update again!**

        Elian’s POV

Conversations floated around the main room, where everyone was scattered and speaking to whomever they please. The sounds of the various voices in the castle, drowned me in my thoughts as I sat in a comfortable, plush chair with my small legs pressed against my chest. I had a large blanket over me as I read a book that I had picked up during our stay in Italy, it was about werewolves. The book was by a human author, I assumed, but as I read quickly through the chapters, the information was factual. Halfway through, I decided to believe whatever the content of the book held, eager to know more about my Alphas’ species.

The Alphas were gone when I woke up, leaving a note that explained that they were going with my grandfather to a place up in the mountains. I didn’t exactly know what for but I decided not to question it and worry for them. I just hoped they came home in one piece, for my sake.

I came to a part in the novel when the woman and man were about to complete the mating process. Apparently, they… bite each other.

        What is this conspiracy?

This story was definitely false now, there was no way that Kasey and Kaspar were going to bite me wherever they choose to. Not to forget to mention, with myself being Fae and all, it was impossible for fangs to extract from my mouth. Hopefully, this part of the novel was a lie.

Doesn’t matter, you will never be with them…  I thought as I remembered that I would make it known to the Alphas that I couldn’t continue to be their mate. Last night was blissful. If only being the Alphas’ mate was always like that, not having to worry about anyone’s problems. Reality prevented that notion to take place, it was a cockblock. Reality was fantasy’s own cockblock.

        Go figure.

As I was engrossed in the book before me, I hadn’t noticed a person take a seat in the couch that was nearest to me. They cleared their throat and I scrunched my nose before placing my book in my lap and lifting my head up to catch Nikolai in plain view. He sat on the couch with his legs crossing one another and a mug of a brown and white substances in each hand.

“Hi, Elian. I have something to tell you and I have brought this drink called hot chocolate to make this talk a little less unbearable for you and I.”

I looked skeptically at the drinks before taking one into my hands, it was definitely warm to the touch, a warmth that I desperately needed in this somewhat cold morning. A thought came to me as I wondered if the werewolves had taken coats with themselves before they left this morning.

        They’re werewolves, dumbass.

Oh, right. Nowadays, I was talking to myself with frequent insults here and there, allowing me to believe that I was slowly going insane.

“Uh, Elian?” Nikolai nervously asked as I realized that I was dazing off to space and completely ignoring him.

“Sorry, Nikolai, what is this again?”
