Thank you for always being there even though my updates may take some time, long a month... cough, cough. Please comment for a last time. :') See you all soon... aka in the next author's note.**

Elian's POV

THREE MONTHS LATER

"Luna, there needs to be a matter discussed at the pack meeting regarding the leads we have on Nikolai Kane," Maddox informed me as I prepared the weekly list of concerns and questions that the pack had.

The term, Luna, is one that I have become quickly accustomed to thanks to everyone's strong support of their newly positioned Alpha. After Aeron no longer posed a threat to the Salina Pack back at California, the Alphas and I left to go back home after the first month. Reluctantly, I agreed to go home empty-handed, without Nikolai. Ambrogio, took it the worst, as expected. When there was no sign that Aeron would be coming back to California, he left in search of his mate and only source of true love and happiness. Last that I have heard, he has been traveling across Europe, between the realms of the Fae and the human realm, in searching hopes.

Around the second month of no news, my search team was still out there for any signs at all. It would appear to be that once we had some sort of lead, even the smallest hint as to where Aeron would be, by the time we approached the scene, there was nothing. They were always two steps ahead of us.Nikolai wasn't some sex slave, this was infuriating to me. The world was going around slower every day and with every day, my heart was heavier. It mourned for Nikolai and the conditions that he could be in, the pain and misery he was in.

Nothing was found and by the third time, I wallowed in self disappointment that I allowed this to happen. Not once, but twice. I was the worst leader who could not even protect one of my own. How could my people trust me with their lives after this instance? The Alphas tried to take my mind off of it but nothing helped. All that could help would be if Nikolai was by my side being his irritating and teasing self.

Everyday, I wish upon whatever fates may be listening, to send back one of my own to me. It pains me to go through the day as if nothing has ever happened. It cannot simply be done. There are no traces, clues, or evidence of anywhere that Nikolai could be found. They fell off the face of the Earth, or even any other realm. It is as if they are keeping no contact with anyone at this point. Aeron left his castle in the Fae realm and hasn't returned, due to the information that my grandparents spies have offered.

What am I supposed to tell the pack?

Lie to them?

No. I couldn't.

"Any other concerns that I haven't already covered at last week's meeting?" I asked Maddox before he left to prepare for the meeting.

"Nothing, really. There were more common questions about how being two rulers of different people would work, when there will be pups in the picture soon, and etc," he continued to list the issues and I was outraged.

"Pups?" I thickly swallowed.

"The heir is very important to the pack, they are just concerned is all."

"Of course, but it isn't something that we really want to get into at the moment, right Elian?" Kasey asked as he entered the room.

"Yes, but we do need to address it somehow today," I stated as I looked into his eyes, the calm color of the blue in his eyes allowed me to breathe in and out.
