I started writing about Marcy, everything we've been through when we met, and just anything and everything that she means to me. She is like an older sister to me. I really don't know what I would do without her in my life. I'd probably feel so lost without her.
So, I typed and typed and typed until I no longer could.
I ended up writing two whole pages.
I guess that's not much but with how tired I am, that's a lot. My fingers were so sore I could barely bend them anymore. I stretched out my body and headed to the bathroom to shower.
It was around seven pm when I got out of the shower and heard my father's car pull into the driveway. I waited for a good minute before realizing he didn't enter the house. I knew immediately he went next door to see Ms.Volan. I sighed and changed into the most comfortable pajamas I could find.

Alexander
I walked into the shop to find Conner at the counter. I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"What are you doing here? You don't work on Fridays."
"The boss made me come in today since Megan is in labor." My eyes widened.
"Megan was pregnant?" Connor laughed.
"It was so obvious. How did you not know?" I shrugged.
"I just always thought she was fat." Connor rolled his eyes.
"No, she was pregnant. Seriously Alexander What's up with you?"
"Nothing, I just didn't pay attention I guess." Someone walked into the store. I turned around at the sound of the bells that hung above the door to find Amaryllis' friend Marcy.
"Marcy," I called out to her. She turned to face me and raised an eyebrow as she walked towards me.
"What are you doing here?"
"I work here." I tell her with a smile. Connor looks confused.
"Oh, right, Connor this is Amaryllis' friend Marcy."
"I thought I'd get to meet the famous Amaryllis you always speak of before meeting her cute friend." Marcy blushes and smiles lightly as Connor smirked at her.
"So, Marcy," I said, trying to stray her attention away from Connor.
"How's Amaryllis?"
"She's fine now that she's out of the hospital." I raise an eyebrow.
"Hospital? Is she okay?" Marcy realized what she said and a look of regret covered her face.
"She just um had to get a quick check-up on something." I wanted to keep questioning her about it but I know I shouldn't. I'd rather hear it from Amaryllis anyways.
"Anyways, is she excited for tomorrow?" I know it's pretty straight forward but I couldn't help myself.
"Oh if only you could hear her. That's all she's been able to talk about for the past few days." My smile grew. I know I was excited to be able to spend more time with her but just knowing that she was feeling the same way made me extra excited.
"Stop smiling like that. You look insane." I ignored Connor not wanting him to spoil my mood.
"Leave the boy alone, he's just happy." Marcy didn't take her eyes off Connor until the bell above the door chimed again. We turned towards it and there stood the boss.
"Oh good, you're here." He reached in his back pocket and took out an envelope.
He handed it to me and I opened it. Inside was a good thousand dollars. I raised an eyebrow.
"Um sir, I think you overpaid me." I usually get paid five hundred a week.
"No, I paid you right. I heard about your mother and I thought you would need a few extra bucks." My eyebrows creased.
"I don't need your pity money." I take some of the money out and hand it to him. He pushes the money towards me again.
"Just take the money kid. It's really not that big a deal." I stayed quiet and just took the money. I was mad due to the fact that someone told him about my mother.
I and Connor sat in our regular seats on the bus. The same old cat lady sat in the back but this time she actually brought one of her cats with her.
"Did you do it?" He looked at me confused.
"Do what?"
"Don't play dumb with me Conner. Were you the one that told our boss about my mom or not?" I was mad. Extremely mad. I hated people finding out about my mother's condition because they always thought it was such a big deal. It truly wasn't, she's a strong woman and I know that she'll live through it.
"I didn't tell him. I would never tell anyone about her. It's not my story to tell." I just left it at that. I was too drained to keep questioning him.
We sat in silence as we listened to the lady in the back, talk to her cat about her other cats.
