After my moment in the bathroom with the alpha female I quickly got ready and cleaned the bathroom before walking back to my room before dinner would be served. I reached my room and noticed Poppy sitting on my bed looking sad. I had grown close to Poppy. She had told me about herself and I had told her about my family.
"Why so sad, Pops?" I asked using the nickname I had given her, she looked up and gave me a small smile patting the spot next to her.
I sat down and she sighed "I miss him" She admitted. It took me a moment to realise what she was talking about. My brain clicked and I felt stupid it took me soo long to realise Poppy was claimed by a warrior and he had gone with the Alpha on business. I couldn't wrap my head around how she could miss a beast. I had only seen him at dinner and I didn't dare get a closer look at me. She placed her head on my shoulder and sighed again.
"I'm sure he will be back soon." I said trying to comfort her, how do you do that when you don't understand how she could be sad. Truth be told I didn't know much about the whole bite mark claim thing "Can you tell me more about it?" I asked, giving her a curious gaze. She looked up at me and smiled before sitting up.
"When you get marked by a wolf you bind something within you to him, you can kind of feel his emotions when he is close. He has a kind of soft spot for you, Alex is sweet, he's gentle with me and kind. He can feel my emotions, it just makes you want them." she said with a smile on her face.
I cringed 'made you want them' ew. I didn't want a beast or did I want the alpha. I knew I had feelings for him but I blamed my Stockholm syndrome on them. I knew deep down - who am I kidding? I fancied him but I didn't know if it was just a physical attraction, I mean it clearly was I had no idea who he actually was.
KNOCK KNOCK
My head moved towards the door, noticing Melody standing there watching Poppy on my shoulder a knowing look on her face. "It's dinner time and Poppy I think someone's back." Melody said and Poppy gasped jumping straight up with the biggest smile on her face. This girl was bipolar I thought as I watched her bounce up and down. "Come on ladies." Melody said moving out the way I followed Poppy out into the hallway watching her happily skipping up the stairs. I reached the top and my breathing stopped. Standing at the top was Beta George, I had almost forgotten about him. I was rudely pushed back down one step when someone rudely passed me. I steadied myself on the step Rebecca catching me. I whispered a 'thank you' and she smiled. I looked up and noticed it was Kate, she was in the arms of the beta, his head in her neck taking a big sniff. How could he be so gentle with her? He was a beast with a bad temper. While he was busy being occupied I scurried past as quickly as possible and carried on towards the kitchen letting out a breath that I had escaped the Beta.
Walking into the kitchen all the girls were happily cutting the dead animal on the table, it was bambi again. Poop Bambi I thought while moving towards my station to cut up and skin the animal, I started to pile the meat onto the plate. It was weird making two. I was used to making one for the female Alpha, but now he was back. He was back. I let that sink in and I didn't know how I felt about it. Feelings of excitement, fear, lust and determination crept up.
Hearing the bell my heart stopped. I was going to see him, my heart beat picking up hammering in my chest. "I'm so excited." I heard Poppy say going to the start of the line. I chose the back to see if I could get my heart to slow down. I didn't want him to know he made me nervous. The girls started to walk in and I followed going to the end of the table where he was sitting. Excitement and desire building in me.
I reached the top of the table, my eyes getting a sneak peak of him, he was just as handsome as the last time I saw him. I watched him take in my scent as I leaned over putting the alpha female's plate down in front of her. "Why does she smell like you?" I heard him ask Luna and she giggled. She grabbed my hand and I flinched, getting frightened. "We took a bath together, didn't we Esme" She purred looking at me. He growled like he was satisfied but also annoyed.
"Esme come here." He said and I walked to his side. I stood beside him and he pulled me onto his lap. He smelt my hair, his face dipping into my neck sniffing, he kissed my sweet spot, my legs clenching as I felt myself get wet. He smirked. I felt him lick and suck and I moaned I couldn't help it. It slipped out. His hand squeezed my thigh and I was getting turned on. He suddenly stopped taking another sniff of my neck and pulled away from me. I took that as my sign to get up my body disagreeing with my mind. I got up and I looked at Luna who was smirking at me like she knew something.
He dismissed me after I filled their drinks, my face red and embarrassed with what had just happened between us infront of everyone in the room. I felt my cheeks heat as I looked around the room. Kate looked at me with jealousy in her eyes, Poppy smirked at me and Melody nodded her head at me. What did everyone know that I didn't?
