HIS GIFT.

The claiming

Today was the day, I was nervous about everything going through my brain. What if I wasn't claimed? Had I done enough to please the alpha, I was rudely awoken by Poppy screaming my name telling me to wake up, when I had eventually drifted off it felt like I had 5 minutes sleep.

"GET UP ESME!" She said and with a final disapproving sigh I sat up and stretched my limbs which were all tense, my bones cracking at the movement.

"I'm up." I said in a small voice. I was tired and filled with emotions. It was a lot to take on board this whole claim thing.

All morning went quite quickly. They bathed me again, did my hair and put on makeup. I was actually in a very thin little nighty white dress which felt so much better than the two pieces they have us wear. It was currently dinner time and I had one last chance to make a good impression towards the Alpha, I was trying to big myself up and give myself confidence but I was failing massively.

"You're going to be fine Esme, if alpha decides he doesn't want you we have plenty of other males that will." Rebecca said I didn't want a random male though, my body desired the alpha it spoke to him. The thought of another man's hands on my body knocked me ill.

"The alpha's had loads of pet's and not one has he picked and out of every pet only 3 were sent into the hunt." Poppy explained and it did nothing for my nerves if he hadn't picked one before why would he pick me. With Poppy's comments I had figured out she had been here the longest, she was the survivor.

I heard the bell ring and I jumped. I felt a hand on my shoulder looking behind. I noticed it was Melody "you'll be fine" she spoke softly towards me and I smiled. I had no clue what I even looked like right now with this white dress on, pet's were not allowed to see their reflection and I so desperately wanted to see. I walked into the dinning hall, my feet knowing the way without my brain working, I placed the plates down and Alpha Luna sniffed and kind of moaned "such a pretty smell." She had said under her breath but I knew I was meant to hear it. I moved towards the alpha placing his plate down, noticing the obvious bulge in his pants staring at me. He grunted a response in my ears, unable to pick up what he had said. I filled their drinks and watched as his eyes raked my body taking it all in, he wasn't the only one's eyes I could feel on my body. I didn't dare look up but I could feel the lustful gazes.

I walked back to the corner head down my heart hammering in my chest when I heard a chair screech back. I looked up slightly to see what was going on and Alpha Luna was walking towards me. She reached me and purred "Come" she said and held out her hand without disrespecting her I put my hand in hers. She walked me back to the table, she sat back down and patted her lap "Sit" she commanded me and I could feel the heat on my face but I did what she said and sat down on her lap. The alpha next to me growled but didn't say anything about her actions, I could feel her hands playing with my hair as she continued to take in my scent while eating. I felt awkward as I just sat there with the Alpha female playing with my hair. Nothing was said between us but I could feel the alpha's eyes on us both. "Come Esme, it is time." she said whispering into my ear, she helped me up walking us all out the hall, everybody following the alpha outside. It was pitch black but with the lights I had helped hang it made it look beautiful, "it's pretty isn't" Luna said to me. I nodded my head as the wolves passed us walking into the direct moonlight taking a deep breath. It was like they were breathing in power and energy, their eyes shifting showing their wolf in control.

I heard drums as the human girls banged on them the wolves going into a circle in the middle of the lights, the Luna brushing shoulders with me "it is time" she said pushing me forward and into the middle I looked around noticing all the wolves eyes on me and my body, Lust present and Alpha luna cleared her throat.

"The full moon is upon us at the highest point in the sky" she said and looked at the moon worshipping it. "We have been gifted with another gift from the town of humans, only this pet has no owner, I ask that if you want to claim this pet you stand forward now." she said and I looked down, my heart beating like a drum. Suddenly the floor seemed more interesting, I didn't dare look up and I didn't hear a sound.

Nobody stood forward and I felt myself break - nobody wanted to claim me. With my heart clenching and tears brimming my eyes I looked up eyeing the beasts in front of me. I looked into the Alpha females and she gave me a soft smile, I looked at the Beta and he just smirked at me and finally I looked at the man I thought would stand forward. He didn't even look at me, just pulled the Alpha female to his side and my heart finally broke a single tear dropped from my eye. I was going to fucking die sooner than I thought.

"Well .. Esme as nobody has stood forward, the moon presents another chance, in 4 weeks time another full moon will be upon us." She explained looking at me and that's when I saw the alpha step away from her. He didn't move anywhere, just took a step back and my hope diminished - this was it. "4 weeks you have to prepare for somebody to claim you before you are left to hunt down the chance to escape." she said, looking at me sadly. I heard chuckles as they laughed at the thought of a human escaping them.

I looked at the floor the tears seemed to not stop - come on Esme you are braver than this just because some stupid big beast didn't want you.

Everyone seemed to gasp and I looked up watching the Alpha walk towards me with determination in his eyes "I Alpha Nixon claim Esme Walker to be mine" He said while grabbing me before I could register what had happened his teeth extended he pulled me close my chest to his and growled at all the other males - he had claimed me as his. Excitement burst through my chest before I gulped looking into his eyes, his beast coming right through, "You are mine." he snarled and his teeth sank into my right shoulder with no gentleness about it. I screamed it echoing through the mountains before darkness took over me.
