The impossible

The heart beat bounced off the walls of the room, and my mouth opened in shock. The alpha standing up from his seat inspecting the screen. Alpha Luna just sat in wonder looking at me.

"Yes Alpha, I can confirm Esme is pregnant." The doctor said looking at me, she was shocked herself everybody was. "She is about 3 weeks along." she finished. It was meant to be impossible to get pregnant from a wolf, a human and a wolf was impossible. My face looked at the screen and then the Alpha, he looked astonished before looking at me grabbing my hand and smiling at me.

"How?" Alpha Luna said looking at the doctor "How is that possible?" she questioned her looking between me and alpha and her eyes locked on his hand in mine.

I looked where she was looking - no I hope she didn't hate me. I quickly moved my hand away from his and he frowned looking down at me. "It's never been heard of, in fact I thought it was impossible. I've heard it once but I thought it was a myth." she said looking at Alpha Luna.

"Where did you hear it? What happened?" Alpha Luna questioned. She was very panicked and I had no idea why. The news of me being pregnant not fully kicking in. I looked at the doctor intrigued as well, and she smiled a sad smile.

"The myth was that a wolf had gotten a human pregnant, however because our pregnancies were so fast, the human body couldn't handle it. The human died at childbirth and the moon goddess swore she would never let it happen again. The pain it caused for all was too much." She said looking at me, I could die or I was going to die. My hands went to my belly, looking down there was a baby in there. I smiled.

"She died? What happened to the pup?" The alpha is finally saying something.

"Unfortunately the pup tore her apart and she bled out, humans are not meant to carry a wolf." she said looking at her alpha then me. This made him growl at her before he placed his hand on my belly, "The pup survived however was half human and half wolf and that's all I know." She finished standing up.

I took that in. If I was to give birth to this pup I would more than likely die, the baby would be half human and half wolf.

"Why would the moon goddess do this?" I heard Alpha Luna say.

I looked at her and she looked angry, the alpha went to her side giving her a cuddle and I looked away jealousy again going through me. The alpha must have felt it because he slightly pushed her away coming back to my side. He looked at me more than my belly and placed his hand over it, there was nothing there yet but if I know one thing wolf pregnancies only last 3 months and that was a scary thought.

"Esme." I heard the doctor say and I looked at her and she held a clipboard. "This wolf pup ends in death and that will be your death." I looked down and the alpha growled.

"Leave." He demanded and she left without saying anything else. I looked down at my stomach and watched his hand on my stomach being protective. I looked back up at Alpha Luna and she had tears in her eyes. She came round my side and took my hand, "This isn't anyone's decision Esme but you." She told me and the Alpha growled. "We will leave now." She said and she walked out Alpha looking at her debating whether to follow. "Nixon now." She commanded and the Alpha growled before smiling at me and my belly walking out. I found her so strange, she was so nice and she was meant to be the Alpha mate.

Alpha Luna POV

I walked out of the hospital room, I had been in there far too many times for my own liking. I heard Nixon behind me and I let out a frustrated noise. I walked into the Alpha office with Nixon right behind me, "Come on then Luna. What is it?" He said sitting down in his desk chair. I sat opposite with a big sigh.

"What happens now?" I asked him and for the first time since Nixon took over he looked lost. He put his head in his hands, I was the only one that truly knew him. Nobody else. We had been friends since we were little and it was just unfortunate we had to mate to create the next generation. There was no love, only friendship love, people always thought we were more but we just never told anyone we were just friends. It was easy that way.

"I don't know Luna." He said and sighed. "I don't know if Esme could take it? Why would the moon goddess bless her with my pup?" He asked himself confused. " I thought she had cursed me and my pack for my actions and my wolf actions." He talked to himself more than me. It's true what he said, nobody got pregnant from the mating and that wasn't normal. We should have at least half the females pregnant and nobody knew why apart from me, Alpha, Beta George, James and Esme. That was it, I watched the she wolves wonder what was wrong with them not realising it was their alpha who had cursed us. Why had the moon goddess blessed a child upon Esme when she suffered so much just to suffer more.

"I don't know Nixon, I don't understand. It's not meant to be possible." I said to him truthfully. He put his head down on the desk.

"What if Esme decides she doesn't want to have it?" He said and I could see his wolf trying to gain control but Nixon was stronger than him just not on a full moon. Nixon didn't want to admit it. I knew he didn't, he wanted Esme to have that pup.

"Would it be safe. Like the doctor said it would be half human half wolf and not any wolf an Alpha wolf?" I questioned like he could answer them. I watched his face twist in disgust and then confusion.

"This is all my fault." He said, taking a deep breath. Ever since that night I had watched him closely, when he found out what his wolf had done he was devastated. Esme was different from the rest and that's why he had chosen her, I knew he had grown to like her which is why I made him jealous in the beginning. His wolf desired her that night hearing her scream, I felt bad knowing we were the ones that caused her pain. I liked Esme, she was pretty. She was the only human I found pleasure watching, the she wolves thrilled me once but then she came along. At first I thought Nixon didn't like her but I watched as he observed her, craved her and then in the end couldn't release himself without her. She had no idea how whipped he was, she had no idea how powerful she actually was over him. He had tried to distance himself knowing that if she asked he would do anything for her but that backfired. I sighed, getting up and giving him a cuddle. Poor Esme right now must not know what to do?
