Chapter 5

"Why were you outside in the rain and in the woods in the first place?"

Maria went silent as she looks down at the floor, almost tearing up.
"I-I don't want to talk about it.." she said, to which Bowser held her hand gently as he gives her a worried look on his face.
"Please, I need to know what happened. I've never seen ran off on your own before without anyone or your brothers with you." Bowser said.
Maria was surprised of how caring Bowser is, since she sees him as a mean monster who kidnaps the princess every week.
She was silent again before she told him what happened. When she visit her brother's homes, went to ti visit Mario, he got mad at her, she punched him, ran off, destroyed everything she owned in her house, even her trophy, she packed up her things and then she ran away.
Bowser listened to this as he's feeling deeply bad for Maria. Maria is the youngest of the brothers, which she is 26, Luigi being 30, and Mario being 32.
He the growls in anger as he stood up, which Maria immediately knows that Bowser is gonna hunt down Mario. She immediately gets up and tries to stop Bowser from leaving.

"W-wait! Don't hurt him!!" Maria said as she tries to stop Bowser.
"I'm gonna go teach him a lesson!" He said but soon stops trying to leave when Maria started to cry.
He hugs Maria and let her cry on his shoulder as he comforts her.
After a while of comforting, Bowser and Maria sit down on the couch.

"Listen, I'm really sorry for that. I know that everyone sees Mario as a hero, which makes me pissed off, but after hearing what you said, it really stuck me. I mean, you're the nicest person I know. Hell, you even made sure that I was okay after Mario beat my ass." Bowser said with a chuckle, which Maria giggles.
After a bit of silence again, Bowser soon broke the silence.
"Listen, how about you stay here as long as you need?" He asked, which Maria looked at him, shocked.
"I-I mean, only if you want to! I mean, I can't force you to but you probably needed a place to stay for now after what happened-"

Bowser gets cut off by Maria.

"No no, I will be happy to stay here for a bit. At least I'll be away from the Mushroom Kingdom for now." Maria said, which Bowser smiles.

"G-Great! I'll make sure that the spare room is comfortable for you." Bowser said and then he stood up.
"I'll let the koopalings that you're staying here. Don't worry, they won't bother you or anything. They like you since you made sure I was okay, which they appreciated, by the way." Bowser said and then he leaves.
Maria was surprised that the koopalings like her since she made sure that their father is okay after the battle.

After some time, Maria suddenly see the koopalings running to Maria and they all hugged her.

"Is it true?! Are you staying with us?!" Larry asked, very happy, so does the rest of the koopalings.

"We're really happy that you're staying with us, Maria!" Bowser Jr. said, which made Maria smiled as she hugs the koopalings.

"Alright, kids, be careful with her. Maria might still be hurt-!" Bowser was cut off as he sees the koopalings hugging Maria and Maria hugging them back, which made Bowser smile.
The koopalings sees Bowser and then they all immediately ran to him and hugged him, saying how happy they are that Maria is staying.

After the koopalings went to bed, Bowser takes Maria and shows her the room that she's staying in.
The walls are painted beautiful dark blue, the furniture is very light blue, and there's a nice bed and bathroom in the room.

"And remember, if you need anything, there's a rope right there for you to pull." Bowser said as he points at the bell, which is next to the bed. Maria then hugs Bowser, which made him surprised.

"T-Thank you." Maria said, which Bowser smiles and then he hugs her back.
After the hug, they said goodnight to each other before Bowser leaves to go to his room.

Maria went into her room, closing the door behind her. She looks through the drawers and found some pajamas. We went into the bathroom and changed into them, which the pajamas felt so soft and comfortable.

She brushed her teeth before going to bed, which she felt so comfortable in it. It's like she's lying down on a cloud.
A little bit later, she went to sleep.
