Chapter 10

George stared at the paper in front of him in disbelief. It was a photo of him, not one that he had taken himself, but a seemingly rushed picture, probably taken in the street when he was passing someone.

He read some small printed writing beneath it, finding a fact-file of himself, it included his everything about him, from his height and weight to his apartment address and where he worked.

He stood there for a minute in shock before coming back to consciousness, his shaky hand put the paper back down.

He told himself to stay calm and he carefully replaced everything to the way it was before, all organised and neat. He backed out of the room, and shut all of his concerns behind the door.

George tried his best to forget about what he just saw and went to make himself some food, since it was now late. He made some pot noodle as a snack now as it was 8 o'clock and Dream wouldn't be home now for at least another four hours, probably five.

Once he had made his noodles, George went to the sofa in the living area and sat down to think, he didn't know what to do.

He loved Dream, but it was obvious that there was something wrong, he tried to make up his mind but kept changing it.

He could just walk away from the house but he had no apartment to go back to, no car or belongings, and he still loved Dream. Another option would be to ignore it and continue living with Dream, pretend like nothing happened, he would have done something already if he was going to do anything, right?

He sat thinking and taking a sip of noodles every once in a while, not even noticing when they where cold. Until he heard someone at the door, a key in the lock and suddenly there he was, Dream, stood in the doorway with a smile on his face, happy to see George.

He was wearing his work uniform, a plain black polo shirt and black jeans they must have been uncomfortable for him to wear standing up for hours.

All of George's concerns melted away, as soon as he saw his lover, he could never believe he would do anything to harm him.

Deep down, everything was still there, but that could be buried and forgotten about as long as Dream was with him.

"Hey love, you ok?" Dream asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks, how was the bar?" George replies, all of his thoughts from just a minute earlier pushed aside as he talked to the blond in front of him.

"It was ok, very busy thought, I'm quite tired now" Dream says.

"Shall I make us something to eat, you must be hungry" Georg offers.

"Yes please, I think there are some pizzas in the freezer that you can just put in the microwave, I need to go and change out of this" he motions to the plain black uniform.

"Ok, I'll do that now, you can go and have a shower" George says as the older leaves the room.

He is left with his thoughts again but choses to ignore it and enjoys the time he gets to spend with Dream, he meant everything to George, even if they had only known each other for just over a week, it was clear he had fallen quickly for the blond.

The microwave dings and Georg gets the pizzas out, cutting them up and putting them on two plates, one for Dream and one for himself. Dream emerges, hair wet from his shower and stands behind George, wrapping his hands around the younger's waist as he cut the pizzas.

George turns around to give Dream a kiss and carry the pizzas to the sofa, where they eat while watching a show on tv.

Once the show finished, George and Dream sleepily walk to their shared room, and before changing they collapse into the bed. They are both tired but Dream still pulls in George to cuddle while they fall asleep, it had been a long day for both of them.

I only published this book a couple days ago and I'm kinda surprised I have a few reads - 28 which is quite a lot for me. It's also #909 on dnf which is pretty cool. I never intended to publish this but if your reading this then thanks so much :)
