Paid The Price

At lunch I was helping Demetri carry his lunch tray. Apparently he wasn’t looking where he was going, because he bumped into Kyler. Yeah, remember that asshole? He’s also now a part of Cobra Kai! Yeah, the only good thing about that is that Hawk beat the shit out of Brooks the day he tried to join.

“Oh crap” Demetri sighed

“Oh you thought I was gonna knock down your tray?” Kyler sighed, making a sorry look “Come on man I’m better than that” Kyler took the trey right out of my hands and tossed it in the trash “Hey what else you need help with? Oh- you want me to sign your cast? Say no more” He grinned, taking the pen from Demetri’s pocket. I made a jump at Kyler but Demetri stuck his arm out in front of me, stopping me

“Go sit” he mumbled “Please, I don’t want you to get suspended”

I huffed, but nodded my head, keeping my head down and walking away from Demetri and Ky, until I saw Mitch standing in front of the Cobra Kai table with a disheartened look on his face, the Cobra’s were all laughing at him. I was getting red, it was coming and it was coming quickly

“Go. Sit” I muttered, walking up to Mitch

He gave me a look like he was about to say some stupid ass comment, but seeing how angry I was he listened instantly. I turned back to Hawk, who held a smug grin on his face. It was because he was with his stupid buddies, I knew it, it had to be.

“What?” Hawk smirked “Come to beg for mercy”

“Not like you’d g-g-give it anyway” I spat, making Hawk’s face fall

I cracked my neck, my hands balling into fists, and Hawk started to almost look worried. I was one more minor convenience away from shooting my hand through a cement wall, or Hawk’s face.

“Hey” He lowered his own voice, leaning a bit closer to me “Please don’t go red” he whispered. My eyes widened in anger. Did he really think he had the authority to say that to me? “Oh hey man” Hawk nodded, standing up, his look changing instantly

“I heard about what happened with Demetri” Miguel’s voice filled my ears, and suddenly I was behind him, his arm held in front of me protectively “How could you do that? And Harley too, after everything you put her through? What’s the matter with you?”

“You should be thanking me” Hawk countered “For getting revenge on the Miyagi-Do’s. Besides, they’re the ones who started the fight. We finished it”

“That’s not what our Sensei taught us”

“He's not my sensei anymore” Hawk scoffed, making Miguel go dark

“After everything Sensei Lawrence did for you, you betray him?”

“He betrayed us” Hawk shot back 

I felt like I wanted to scream. My throat itched for my inhaler but I didn’t listen, there was no way I was using that fucking thing infront of Hawk. Miguel took a deep breath, keeping himself calm.

“Look, this isn’t you talking. It’s Kreese, he’s got in your head” Miguel sighed “You can change that if you leave Cobra Kai, and join Sensei Lawrence’s new dojo…. If you come, others will follow. Okay? We can show everyone that we’re not a bunch of bullies”

“It can be like before” I pleaded, unable to ignore the giant sappy part of my brain that called out for Hawk

“He has a new dojo?” Hawk questioned

“Really?” I scoffed “That’s a-all you got-”

“Hey guys! Check this out! Standing around with a dick in his hand” Kyler called out to the whole cafeteria
