I Am At Peace

After that cheesy shit show… as pleasant as it was I’ll admit, we all went back to hating each other, and mutually enjoying a dance party while doing so. The night was young, drinks had been drunk and we were just messing around a lot of the time. I nearly choked on my pop when I saw Hawk’s face after seeing Moon kiss her girlfriend. As ditzy as Moon was, they were a cute couple. We were currently cuddling on the couch I was messing with his hair cause, I have rights

“Why do you like touching my hair so much?” He chuckled

“I dunno,” I shrugged “I just like it. It suits you, it really does”

“Oh well, I take that as the highest compliment in the world” He smiled, leaning down and pulling me into a kiss

“Remind me to never third wheel you two for real” Mitch mumbled

“Then get lost” Hawk scoffed

“Hey” I sighed “Dude you don’t have to”

“Nah it’s okay” he shook his head standing up “I’m thirsty anyway”

“You don’t have to be like that to people” I shifted on Hawk’s lap “People will like you if you’re nice”

“I am nice” Hawk rolled his eyes with a grin

“I’m just saying” I sighed, snuggling into him “I was inside your walls before you ever got the chance to put them up” I started to mess with his hair again

“Yeah well, you and only you” He mumbled

I giggled, leaning up and kissing his neck again. He smiled looking down at me. I grabbed the scruff of his shirt in my good hand, pulling down towards me

“Better be” I spoke lowly

“Yes ma’am” he grinned

I sat up a bit, still staying in his lap, just more to the side when someone came and sat down. I looked over, giving Demetri a soft smile before the storm hit.

“You check out the new Doctor Who trailer?” Demetri spoke up first

“I don’t watch nerd shit” Hawk grumbled, taking a sip of his drink

I rolled my eyes reaching for a drink but Hawk smacked my hand away, making me groan, but also thankful

“Oh yeah, cool” Dem nodded “Ya know uh… Moffat isn’t the showrunner anymore” Demetri told us

“Wait really?” We chorused

“Since when?” Hawk added “Is there a new doctor?” Eli was getting a bit excited, and I was glad. Demetri nodded “What’s he like?” Hawk smiled

“Oh...” Dem scoffed “She’s badass”

“She?” I questioned.

“No way” Hawk smiled

“Finally” I sighed “There’s been so many, it’s about time” I nodded

We heard people giggling from across the room. It was just Moon and her girlfriend. I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything with them, but, of course the loud mouth just had to comment

“Must be an interesting sight to see” Demetri chuckled “She’s definitely moved on”

“Defeat does not exist” Hawk muttered “I… forfeited”

“There’s that winning attitude that pushed her away in the first place” Dem remarked sarcastically “I think you need a healthy dose of, inner peace. It’s worked for me” Dem tired to be helpful, but he still just can’t help running his mouth “You’ve got Harley now, be at peace with that”
