After Naruto's eventful awakening, he along with HInata joined everyone else at the table. Haku, of course, chose to stand behind her new "Master".
"So, anything interesting happen while I was indisposed?" Naruto asked the group seated around the table
"Well Sasuke and Karin went on a small killing spree in the town square after the found a large group of Gato's thugs attempting to kidnap a lady and her daughter as "payment"." Kakashi said casually.
Naruto sat there in silence for a second before he just shrugged and continued eating.
"Are you not surprised?" Karin questioned
"Not really. That sounds like something and emo like Sasuke would do and I guess it only makes sense you picked up some bad habits from him. That and you're already perpetually angry so it's not surprising you snapped." Naruto explained with a finger up
Before anyone could react, Karin's cup of water was flung at Naruto across the table but it of course never reached him.
Before Karin could start chucking any and every available object at the untouchable blonde, Sasuke grabbed her hand and pulled her into his lap. This immediately calmed her down and all her anger seemed to dissipate into nothingness.
"Y'know, that doesn't obey the laws of physics. No form of energy can simply cease existing, so how on earth did your anger do just that?" Naruto asked
This caused everyone at the table to chuckle, of course sans the brooding child
Said brooding child swiftly ruined the whole vibe by slamming his hands onto the table, throwing somethings off of it and causing everyone to quiet down.
"How can you guys act so relaxed. You're all gonna die if you try to fight Gato." the boy snarled
"INARI!" his mother, Tsunami, chastised
"But I'm right mom! They can't beat Gato, no one can! It's impossible!" The boy yelled
Everyone was silent until Naruto started chuckling and the started fool blown howling in laughter.
"What's so funny?" Inari growled
"Yo-you just said that Ga-Gato would be able to k-ki-killl us!" Naruto said in between chortles.
"He will! He's stronger than you! He's stronger than all of you combined! You think just cause you're from a big village like Konoha you can win. You've lived pampered and comfortable lives behind those walls. You don't know what it's like to suffer!" Inari screamed
This immediately caused Naruto to stop laughing and the mood visibly darkened. Inari took a step back at the dark look on Naruto's face.
"What did you just say?" Naruto growled
"Y-you don't know what it's like to suffer." Inari repeated
Naruto got up from his seat and started stalking towards the boy
"We don't know what it's like to suffer you say." Naruto said
"Sasuke over there was put under an illusion as he had to watch, hundreds of times, in real time, as his entire family and clan was brutally slaughtered at the hands of his own older brother. Hinata was branded with an enslavement seal and thrown out of her own family by no else but her father. Do you know how we found Karin. She was the only surviving person in a village full of people who used her like some sort of portable battery. This was of course after her parents were killed and she was left all alone. Kakashi watched as the life faded out of his father's, both his teammates, and his sensei, my father's, eyes. Me, well I grew up all alone in a village full of people who would much rather watch as I burned at the stake than see me live another day. I got thrown out of the orphanage not long after I learned to walk and had to lie on the streets for almost 2 years. having to steal and scavenge just to survive. I had to do all this all while having to run away from the frequent mobs of angry villagers that tried to kill me. And the couple of times Kami was feeling extra spiteful, I would be caught and beaten to near death before being left to rot in a random alleyway. this was all before I even turned 6 years old. So tell me, BOY? Do we not know the meaning of suffering?!?! Naruto finished when he was right in front of Inari
Inari looked up at Naruto with tear filled eyes before he burst out crying and ran out of the room and up the stairs with his mom calling after him.
Naruto huffed in annoyance before he to turned around and stormed out of the house, leaving everyone else shocked.
**Heeeeeyyyy, How yall doin'? Sorry for y'know, pulling a danny phantom and ghosting. But I'm back so that's what matters right? Besides, I'm no longer quite as suicidal or depressed as I was before I left. Not that I'm all better but I can at least function fairly normally now :) Still sorry for acting like your dad and leaving without a reason but now i'm back and I feel like I'm better at writing than I used to be due to the absolutely colossal amount of fanfics I read and listened to while away. So yeah nice to see you guys again but........I gotta go!...............but not for to long this time ;)**
