Hateful little heart,

Always bothering me with your aggrieved cries,

Always hurting me with your wants,

Always crying, crying, pitifully for someone to see you,

to love you,

to cherish you as you do them,

Where are you?

Hateful little heart,

with your schemes and tactics to win favor,

your pouts and teary eyes,

your self-indulgent existence,

Where are you?

Years have gone by so fast,

I have lost track of you,

Little heart of mine always wanting to be pampered,

Where are you?!

Those empty eyes are not yours,

Those hollow smiles are not yours,

That hollow space inside me was yours,

Hateful little heart,

pitiful little heart,

always yearning,

yearning,

How is it,

Why is it,

That you are so numb?
