The Only Thing

Chapter 3

Cameron's POV

I like Alison, she is so sweet, funny, and beautiful. I know I have to be very careful with her, she is fragile, I feel bad for her and want to help her. I want her to have fun and feel protected and loved agian. I wanna talk to my parents about adopting her, and convince them to let her stay here longer. I love having Alison here, she sleeps so cute. I can't stop staring. She was starting to move so I went on my phone. She woke up and told me "Morning," I smiled and told her the same. "Get dressed, we are gonna go to the park to go skateboarding after breakfast." She nodded and asked me, "Do you have another black shirt I can borrow?" I nodded and went into my room and got a black shirt. I went into her room and gave it too her. She went into the restroom and closed the door.

Alison's POV

I went into the restroom and got some shorts that didn't have that many holes as the other ones. I put Cameron's shirt on and since it was big on me, I got a hair tie and got some of my shirt and tied it and tucked it in. I am ok with showing some of stomach, because I accept who I am now. I'm pretty thin, since I barely eat. I brushed my light brown hair and just left it natural. Then I brushed my teeth and opened the door and saw Cameron on his phone. He looked up and a huge smile popped on his face.

Cameron's POV

I looked up from my phone to see a beautiful Alison. She tied my shirt and tucked it in and was wearing some ripped shorts, she also had some black chucks on. I smiled and she smiled back. "Ready" I asked she nodded and I grabbed her hand and took her downstairs. Mom had already had breakfast ready and we ate. Mom called me so I told Alison to wait here, she nodded and my mom and dad took me to their room.

"Honey, how long is she gonna stay here, we can't keep her here forever, she has other parents, and I don't think their gonna like us having their daughter." My mom told me. "Mom you don't understand, her mom and brother died when she was 10. She lived with her dad, and he abuses her. Have you seen all her bruises and cuts, she got those from her father, yesterday morning."

"That's horrible, why would he do that to her?" My mom and father said. "I don't know, so can she stay here for awhile, she can't go back to her fathers house." "Of course, she can stay as long as she wants." I smiled and thanked them. I walked out and went to Alison. "Ready to go to the park?" She nodded and I took her hand and went to the garage.

"You can borrow my sisters pennyboard." She nodded and asked "Uh, Cameron how do I use this?" I laughed at how cute she was not knowing what to do. "I'll teach you at the park. For now just hop on my board and I will do the skating just hold on to me." She nodded and smiled. I put her on the board and wrapped my arms around her waist she giggled and smiled. I started skating with her in my arms. She was smiling and giggling, she liked skateboarding I could tell.

Alison's POV

With Cameron's arms, wrapped around me I felt safe and happy. I couldn't stop smiling and giggling. I loved being with him, is it possible I love him. When we arrived at the park, I hopped off the board and tripped but Cameron caught me. I stared into his hazel brown eyes and he leaned in and so did I are lips touched and I felt sparks for the first time. Our lips moved in sync I felt butterflies. This is my first kiss and I'm gonna remember this forever. We both moved back and smiled. "So you wanna learn how to ride a skateboard." I nodded and smiled. He put me on the board, and grabbed my waist and hands. "Use one foot to push and when you pushed enough, put both of your feet on the board." I nodded and he pushed me a little and didn't let go.

We were at the park for three hours and then we got hungry and went out for lunch. "We're are we gonna go eat?" I shrugged not knowing any places. "I don't know I have never gone out to eat at a restaurant." "I know exactly were to go that you will love." I nodded and followed him on skateboards. We arrived at a place that read Popeyes. We entered and took a seat Cameron ordered for us. Later our food was ready and Cameron got it.

"This is fried chicken, and that's mashed potatoes. This is macaroni and cheese, and that's a biscuit. You can put butter or honey on it." He said pointing to all the food. I nodded and he made me try everything. I liked the fried chicken with ranch instead of barbecue. The biscuit was good with butter and the mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese was delicious."Cameron that was delicious." He smiled and said theirs more.

We arrived at this place that said Mini Golf. "What's Mini golf?" I asked "You'll see." I nodded and entered he came back with two stick things and some white balls. "Whats that?" He grabbed my hand and took me to a field that had obstacles. "Here" he put a ball down on the floor and gave me the stick thing."This is a club, you hold it like this." He wrapped his arms around me and showed me how. After about an hour we finished the course and left.

We skated to a place that read tutti frutti. We walked in holding hands and Cameron got a large bowl and filled it up with something that looked like ice cream. He put some Oreos, fruit, and a bunch of other toppings. He did this without letting go of my hands he payed for the ice cream thing and the lady said "You guys are a cute couple have a good date." I looked at Cameron and he looked at me we both smiled.

We sat at a table, and he told me "This is frozen yogurt," he took the spoon and got some frozen yogurt he put it in my mouth. It was so good. "Oh my gosh this is delicious." I smiled and he giggled. We talked for about a hour and went home. I new I was gonna have a great summer.
