"I took a look at your file." Caitlyn said to Vi with her british accent. Caitlyn holds a note book in her hand and Vi paces in her cell. "There's no record of you or you crimes. What are you here for?" "My sunny personality." Vi responded. "You attacked an inmate. Why?" Caitlyn asked. "Why not." Vi said.
Vi couldn't care less about the questions, she couldn't care less about anything at the moment. "He was a witness in an ongoing investigation." Caitlyn said. "Hmm. Bummer." Vi said, again, couldn't care less.
Caitlyn sighs. "This was a waste of time." She said and begins to walk away. "Couldn't have put it better." Vi said enthusiastically. Hey, give Silco a kiss on that winning eye of his, will you?" Caitlyn stops in her tracks, she sighs once more knowing that this inmate girl knows more than Caitlyn thinks. She turns around and walks back to the cell.
"Silco? The industrialist?" She asked. "Okay, this is getting old. can you just send in whoever's gonna kick the shit out of me, so I can get one with my night." Vi said loosing that enthusiastic voice.
Caitlyn pauses for a moment, knowing that she can't get answers like this, she needs to push her limit. She looks down at the read line between the cell door and her, the line telling her not to cross. Caitlyn sighs and steps over the line, pulling the note book out and showing a page to Vi. One page had two images, one image being a small map and the other being the initial. An arrow pointing at it and a question mark on the other end of the line. On the other page shows smaller drawing of the monkey that Caitlyn tried to do but it also has an image of the monkey on the hatch.
"Does this mean anything to you?" Caitlyn asked, showing the pages to Vi. The pink haired inmate stopped pacing and slightly looked over. Not quite sure what the initial meant but once her eyes landed on the monkey, Vi quickly getting to the cell door. Caitlyn jumps back by the sudden approach.
Vi grabs two bars on the door and looks in between the two at the book, questions rush through her head but only one came out of her mouth. "Where did you get this." She asked. Caitlyn still slightly spooked, calms herself down and closes the book. "My question first. He worked for Silco?" Caitlyn asked.
"Uh, they all do. How can anyone not know that? Where did you find this?" Vi said eagerly wanting to get to the point. "There was an attack. This is evidence." She responded slightly waving the book around. "I need proof if I'm to believe what you're saying about Silco." She said, unsure about this inmate in front of her.
Vi scoffs as she leans her head on one of the cell bars. "I could get it for you. Just not from in here." She said. Caitlyn snickers at the subtle suggestion. "In what mad world would I trust someone like you?" She said. "Someone like me?" Vi said.
"You enforcers are all the same. Just asshole criminals in fancy uniforms." Caitlyn flinches at the comment. "You know what? Find Silco yourself." Vi finished. "I will, thank you." Caitlyn said with confidence in her voice and walks away from Vi's cells again.
Vi scoffs at her action, lifting her arm up and resting her head against it on the cell door. "Undercity's gonna eat you alive." Caitlyn stops in her tracks once more to only breathe in deeply and exhale before he continues to walk to the elevator.
Caitlyn puts the signed slip on the warden's desk. "I've got orders from Councilor Talis, concerning Inmate 516." Caitlyn said. The Warden chuckles. "Not cooperative, huh?" He pulls out a long cane and slams the tip of it on the ground. "You, uh, you want us to have a chat with here?" He said.
Caitlyn looks at the cane shocked. "No." She said. The warden slightly surprised. "Oh." He said and grabs the paper slip confused. "It's for her release." Caitlyn said a bit angered. "Huh. Since when's he a Councilor?" The warden asked unamused. "Since today." Caitlyn said.
The warden scoffs, not really believing her story but he looks at the paper once more. Caitlyn's quite concerned about the "chats" that has happened to Vi, so Caitlyn felt the need to ask. "How many chats have you had with her?" She asked.
The Warden looks slightly shocked by the question and begins to think for a moment. "You know, I never even thought to count." He said with a small grin and looks back at the paper.
Metal clanking of the cane could be heard coming closer to Vi's cell. Vi takes sharp breaths, getting ready for her daily beatings. Keys bang together as they open the cell door. Vi looks at the open door cell to see Caitlyn standing there. Caitlyn sighs a breath that it seems like she was holding and begins to walk away, leaving the door open.
Vi stands there as she watches the dark blue haired girl walking away, soon following behind.
"You said you could control her." Marcus said to Silco. The two men sit across from each other in Silco's office, two of the bouncers standing behind Marcus to make sure he doesn't do anything irrational. Silco sitting on the couch spread out, with a unused cigar in his hand.
Marcus taps his foot anxiously. "I lost six officers. Six!" He said trying to stand up but is pulled back into his seat by one of the men behind him. "She pushed it too far this time. The Council's up in arms." His foot keeps on tapping. "I can't make this go away for you unless you give me something to work with." He said.Silco reaches over on the stand next to him and grabs a cigar cutter, and slips the end of the cigar through. "Arresting her would be doing you a favor." Marcus suggested. Silco cuts the end of the cigar aggressively. "I don't need favors. I need you to do your job." Silco said before bringing the cigar up and lighting it, puffing out smoke.
"The Firelights have been a thorn in both our sides. They ambushed my shipment at the Hexgates on the same day of as the attack. It seems to me the Council has its culprit." Silco said. Marcus nods his head, anger growing inside him. "Oh, that's tidy for you. What if I'm not interested in playing along?" Marcus threatened.
Silco takes another breath from his cigar and puffs it out. "We've accomplished a lot together, Marcus. Sheriff." Marcus looks at his unworthy badge. "And there is more yet to achieve." Silco leans forward. "I hope you can remain a part of it." Marcus shows a slight of fear by Silco's comment.
The leader then looks at the bouncer. The bouncer then goes over to Silco's desk and grab a back of coins before putting it in Markus's hands. "For their families. From an anonymous, concerned citizen." Silco said.
Marcus taps his foot a few more times before standing up, angered and grabs his helmet of the table. Storming out of the office.
Silco leans his head back and takes another smoke from the cigar before exhaling it up making it into a smoke ring.
