The Horns of Piltover warned the people of the city. They blared as if they were right in a person's ear, yelling that something was wrong. Vi was helping Caitlyn walk to an alleyway before helping her down to rest. She handed Caitlyn the gadget containing the gemstone. "Will you be okay?" Vi asked. "I'll be right back." She finished by patting Caitlyn on the knee. "Okay." Caitlyn nodded.
Vi headed back toward the main street, but her path was blocked by the enforcers who were running to the bridge. She hid while many more kept running past with guns armed and ready to be used. She peeks around the corner after the last enforcer runs past to ensure no more are coming. After making sure, she looked back at the bridge. (Y/n). Jinx. She needed to get back to them. No. She needed to get back to (Y/n). After what she saw just moments ago, her sister is gone.
"Where are you going?" Caitlyn asked after she noticed Vi slowly deciding to run for the bridge. "I have to get him. I can't keep leaving him." Vi said. Caitlyn didn't know what to say but instead opened up the container holding the gemstone; only the gemstone was gone. "Wait." Caitlyn said just as Vi was about to run out of the alleyway. "It's gone." Caitlyn exclaimed. Vi turned back in shock. "What?" She said. "It was all for nothing." Caitlyn said, disappointed. Vi looked back towards the bridge, wide-eyed.
She must go back. She had to, now that the stone was gone. She thought for a moment. No, They needed to warn the council. Continue with Caitlyn's plan. They had to. Vi will come back for (Y/n). He has to be alive, right?
Horns screamed in the distance, but the noise was still blown out by the ringing in (Y/n)'s ears. His vision was fuzzy, and he had no idea where he was. What happened? Wait. He was fighting his sister with Ekko. Shit, Ekko. (Y/n) started to move his hands, using touch to feel where he landed and where Ekko was. Everything is coming back to him. Jinx pulled a grenade on them, and (Y/n) dove for Ekko.
The ringing in (Y/n)'s ears slowly subsided, and his vision cleared up. He moved his hand to his right to find his shield split in half from the explosion. He didn't have a sword anymore. It's coming back to him; after he dove for Ekko, he used his shield to protect the two and took most of the explosion. With the ringing quieting down and his vision clearing up, something else started becoming known to (Y/n). Pain.
Oh, it was so much pain. (Y/n) groaned and looked to where it was coming from. His left leg. He knew exactly why it was hurting so much. He was hurting everywhere, but this is where he could feel a second heartbeat. The leg was still there and in one piece,e but it did not look good. The pant leg was covered in blood and rips; the shield may have saved his life, but it wasn't much of a protection for his whole body. He pulled up his pant leg and noticed his lower leg was ripped up by shrapnel, and a thump was where his shin should be. That's where the second heart was. His leg had broken, but thankfully, it didn't break through the skin.
Wait. Ekko, he needs to find Ekko. As if Ekko knew what (Y/n) realized, (Y/n) heard a groan coming from his left. Ekko was okay. Thank Gods. Knowing Ekko was alive, (Y/n) back to his leg, he needed to snap the bone back into place and find some sort of way to splint the shin. He placed the leg at an awkward angle but knew with one hit, this would put it back. (Y/n) tightened his fist, raised it over the shin, and then came down crashing on the broken bone.
'pop'
If (Y/n) had known what it would have felt like to put a leg back into place, he wouldn't have done it to himself. The pain he initially felt was like a pinch compared to what he felt when his bone snapped back together. "Fuck!" (Y/n) yelled in agony. He fell back but felt something big and metallic strapped to his back, his hoverboard. It wasn't the greatest looking, and it was sparking up a storm, but it looked like it could still have some juice left. He tried to get up, but as soon as he put weight on his left leg, the pain shot up his spine, and he came crashing back down. Ekko didn't even feel like trying; he was in just as much pain as his best friend.
